I love Old Florida Village, although it is an older neighborhood along 30-a. The pros for this particular property were: 1) The bed mattresses were all very firm. I love a firm mattress, although my husband did not like the mattresses and decided to sleep on the couch. You cannot please everyone! 2) the kitchen is stocked with everything you need and beyond. 3) you are within a 10 minute walk of the beach, coffee, and a few restaurants and less than 10 minute drive to grocery, gas, more restaurants, etc. 4) this house is right next to overflow parking since you can only fit 2 cars in front. 5) the pool was never terribly busy with plenty of lounge chairs available.
CONS: 1) the chairs in the main room had tears in the fabric and the main couch was very stained. We covered it with a blanket we had brought because it was a little gross. 2) really needs a fresh coat of paint everywhere. 3) upstairs hallway had nails in the wall where artwork had apparently been. 4) a lot of the furniture had dings, needed paint, etc. 5) the AC is not supposed to be set below 72 due to possibly unit freezing up (and I get that) but it got really hot upstairs at night.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the house. You pick the stuff that is important to you, and for me it was the location and the fact that this house was very reasonably priced for a week!
