Located in one of the quietest of all London’s mews’, this stunning London mew house blends classical and modern to perfection. Burton Mews has two elegant bedrooms and welcomes up to four guests. Situated in affluent Belgravia close to Elizabeth Street, Sloane Square and Victoria, it provides an idyllic and surprisingly tranquil base right in the heart of the city.:
While Belgravia may have had a reputation as a haunt for highwaymen in the 1700s, today it is one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. Elegant Georgian terraces and historic mews houses still retain all the charm of the old capital, making this a haven for anyone who loves architecture. Nestled around the area's many green squares are streets lined with delicatessens, cafés, and restaurants, while the excitement of London's West End is a short taxi ride away.
Burton Mews retains many original features, including a magnificent fire surround in the plush sitting room. Complementing the antique furnishings and mirrors is a thoroughly modern sensibility that harmonises beautifully with the traditional features. There's a delightfully cosy dining area in the corner of the living room - just right for an intimate dinner party. The sleek kitchen has been carefully designed to maximise the use of space and is packed with the latest appliances. A small toilet completes the layout of the entrance level.:
On the second level are the two serene bedrooms, thoughtfully decorated in soothing colours to imbue an air of peace and relaxation. The primary suite has an indulgent king-size bed as well as plenty of built-in storage space. The second bedroom has two comfortable single beds and would make an ideal room for younger guests. The bedrooms share the main bathroom, which comes complete with a walk-in shower and high-quality fixtures.
A small stroll from the mews brings guests to Ebury Street, home to a host of independent stores and boutiques selling fine wines, foods, and gifts.
