Ideally Located
The Chamartín district is located in the northern part of the city. This upscale neighborhood is ideal for newcomers. Chamartín takes its name from Chamartín Market, a 1,600-square meter indoor arcade that is perfect for gourmands. Visitors can shop for fresh fish, meat and produce along with pâtés and other specialty food items. Given the proximity to the market, it's no wonder that Chamartín has wonderful restaurants and imaginative bars and cafes. The area is also home to the National Auditorium of Music, home of the national orchestra. Another key neighborhood landmark is Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where the football team Real Madrid plays, and also the District’s proximity to the business center Las Cuatro Torres.
Nueva España is a lovely neighborhood known for excellent schools and transportation access. Neighborhood highlights include the Venezualan Embassy and the Fundación Canal, an arts exhibition center that also hosts concerts and workshops. Nueva España is also home to several hospitals.
