About this space
Our welcoming 2-bed property provides the perfect family home-from-home for those looking to explore the historic city of York while escaping the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Our property provides all of the home comforts and amenities you'll need during your stay with us.
Located a short drive away from the city, you're close enough to explore the sights of York from the iconic York Minster to the beautiful Shambles. There is free parking right in front of the property as well.
The space
GROUND FLOOR:
As you walk through the main front door you'll be straight into the lounge and greeted with plenty of seating for you and the family. There is one larger sofa and two armchairs all with wonderful plush cushions so you can unwind from a busy day of exploring.
We offer a range of DVDs and board games if you're looking for a cozy night in and want some quality family time. There is also high-speed internet with Virgin Media of up to 200Mbps so you can stay connected during your holiday.
Step through to the open kitchen that has all the homely amenities you can look for during a quiet little get away. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, cafetiere and toaster.
You'll also find the dining table here with plenty of room for those big Sunday dinners.
We provide some complimentary tea, coffee, milk, and a little biscuit for you. Great for a drink after a long journey.
FIRST FLOOR:
Here you will find both bedrooms and the bathroom. The first bedroom is at the front of the property and boasts a huge super king bed! This can also be turned into two single beds if you're a group of 3 adults. Please make sure you message us at the time of booking if you require the setup as two single beds.
To the right of the stairs, you have our single bedroom that's ideal for younger members of the family. Both rooms come with ample storage space and hangers so there's no need to pack light.
All of our linen is professionally cleaned to a hotel standard so you won't be disappointed. We also provide a small wash kit so you can freshen up and be ready for the day.
This is also where you'll find the bathroom that comprises a wash basin, bath with an attached shower, and W/C.
EXTERIOR:
There is a small courtyard at the back of the property with seating for 3 which is the perfect little space to enjoy some homemade cooking and drinks outside. There is also a shed to the back of the property which is for the bin storage.
Pass the Keys® provides a hotel standard of service for short-let properties. Each property is professionally maintained and cleaned. We guarantee professionally cleaned linens and toiletries. We also provide 24/7 guest support and local personal service before and during your stay.
The local community-based team of Pass the Keys® personally inspects each home to certify they have met Pass the Keys®’s Property Readiness Standard.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
Check-in time is after 4 pm and check-out time is before 10 am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will disrupt my cleaner’s schedule. Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
Strictly no hen/stag do's or parties, please keep the noise to a minimum from 22:00 - 08:00 and be respectful of the neighbors.
No pets allowed.
PARKING
There is on-street parking directly outside of the property on a first-come, first-served basis. It is free to park along the whole street if the space is not available.
TRAVEL COT
There is a travel cot at the property that is free to use. This is located under the single bed and should be returned there after use. You will need to bring your bedding for this. There is also a highchair for use at the property.
BINS
Once every two weeks the neighbours will pass through the courtyard to put the bin out the front. This is the only way they can put their bins out and are only permitted to do so when it is bin collection day.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
