Covering the first and second floor of a stunning converted Victorian townhouse, this luxurious home is perfect 4 guests visiting York. With two generously sized double bedrooms, and two en-suite bathrooms, there's plenty of space to relax.
Located just outside Micklegate Bar Walls, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station, York's restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions are right on your doorstep. We have the bonus of a free off-road parking space, and family friendly facilities also.
The space
A private entrance leads to a beautiful hallway and staircase leading to the first and second floors.
Our property, which has recently undergone a luxurious renovation, offers a roomy living area. The rooms are connected by oak herringbone flooring that runs throughout and large windows that let in lots of natural light. The interior period features are complemented by the grand modern sweeping staircases and high ceilings.
FIRST FLOOR:
The property boasts a modern kitchen with integrated appliances: oven, gas hob, washing machine, separate Smeg fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. The dining table and chairs seat 4 people, and there is a highchair which can be borrowed too. Double doors lead to a large decked balcony terrace which is for your exclusive use. In the summer we will be adding in some outdoor seating to make sure the space can be enjoyed!
Next to the kitchen is a utility room and toilet. Complimentary tea/coffee is provided if you require a hot drink upon arrival. We also have a small free kitchen pack that includes a dishwasher trash can, a washing machine trash can, a fairy liquid and a sponge.
Our spacious living room is located to the front of the property, and offers a large, plush corner sofa to sink into after a long day out in the city. Our Smart TV offers multiple entertainment sources for you to log into with your own accounts. Wifi speeds are excellent, reaching up to 65 Mbps.
SECOND FLOOR:
To the front of the property is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and separate shower). In this room there is a double bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, an armchair, a chest of drawers and a full length mirror.
The back bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with double shower (no tub). This room features a double bed, double wardrobe and bedside table with reading light.
There are also two travel cots you are very welcome to borrow at no extra cost if travelling with little ones.
Parking is to the rear of the property. There is space one car. If you are using this facility, please make sure to read the guest manual for finer instructions on directions.
Once arrived, there will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!
Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a Sainsbury's Local across the road.
Managed by a professional co-host of Airbnb, this property is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are removed from the property after each stay and replaced with freshly laundered supplies. The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self check in and we also offer 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property.
I do stay from time to time so there will be some of my food items in the kitchen cupboards. There is a wardrobe in the master bedroom which is not for guest access...
Other things to note
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT:
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
FAMILY FACILITIES
Two travel cots and one high chair are in the property. Guests are welcome to make use of these additional facilities, however, I politely ask that the travel cots are packed down and returned back to their original places of storage, and that the high chair is wiped down and also moved back before you check out.
Please may guests also bring their own cot bedding.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
