Family cottage in Wiltshire
A stylish, converted daffodil barn, in Woodborough near Pewsey where you can unwind in the garden on a summer night or light the wood burner on a winter’s night and explore all that Wiltshire has to offer. Sympathetically renovated, this characterful home sits in a private, quiet courtyard with five other properties. Ideally situated to enjoy country walks, cycling routes and nearby historic sites in the beautiful Pewsey Vale. Walk to the excellent village pub, or nearby garden centre which sells local farm milk and produce and has fantastic cafés and independent shops to explore.
A shingle path leads from the parking area through the front gardens to the private entrance of this attached cottage barn. Enter into the neat hallway and walk through to the fantastic kitchen which is fully equipped with a Rangemaster electric oven and gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and dryer. There is a kitchen table with 4 chairs, perfect for families with children and bifold style doors opening out into the garden. Opening off the kitchen is a larger dining space with six chairs, where guests can enjoy the delights they have bought locally during the day or gather together and play a board game. Sit down in the evening in the spacious sitting room with sofas, flat screen TV with fire stick and a fabulous log burner. Completing the ground floor is a handy cloakroom with WC.
Upstairs, and to the right of the landing area, there are three bedrooms. The first is a king-size master bedroom with ensuite shower room, the second is a stylish twin bedroom, with rural views over the fields behind the property which can also be made up as a super king upon request. The third is a children’s bunk bedroom, with some books and games for them to enjoy. The fourth bedroom is to the left of the landing with a double bed and next to this is a family bathroom with rain shower and hand shower over the bath and a further WC.
Heading outside you will find a pretty terrace with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ, just perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, there is also a small grass lawn area with apple trees and shrubs, where children can play. Off-road parking for two cars is available to the front of the cottage.
Guests have private and exclusive access to the property and garden during their stay.

Woodborough is almost equidistant from the bustling market towns of Marlborough and Devizes (both a 15 min drive) and 3 miles west of the village of Pewsey with mainline train to London Paddington taking 1 hour, 5 mins. Salisbury and Swindon are both a 35 min drive away to the south and north and Bath is a 50 min drive north west. London Heathrow airport is a 1hr 20 minute drive from the cottage.
Although there is an extensive local bus network and private taxi companies, we recommend a car as the easiest option for exploring the local area.
This property is happy to accommodate 1 well behaved dog but please note a fee of £25 applies.
The bunk bedroom is suitable for children only.
Maximum of 6 adults and 2 children per booking.
Maximum of 2 cars only can be parked in the grounds of Nursery Barns. Vans cannot be parked within the grounds. Additional cars and all vans will need to be parked off site. There is a free car park nearby, where guests can park at their own risk.
