Mixed feelings, room for improvement
As I told the property management team, I have never had a more stressful check-in prior to a trip.
2 weeks prior I asked about final instructions and check-in. They said we’d get a link to complete payment and then they’d send instructions.
This never happened. 4 days prior to departure I asked again, they said they’d escalate this and send me the link. Didnt. I called their office, no link sent. I called VRBO, who promptly suggested I message them for the best/fastest response. I had to provide VRBO with the correct phone number. On the day of our flight they called, and were going to cancel our reservation. I got their “info” email and sent my email to them. Which they received and sent me the link and we were able to finalize it.
I will add VRBO customer service people and supervisors are absolutely worthless. They just read policy off scripts or said, go ahead and look for somewhere else.
Once there, Thiago let met us in front of the building (their sign and entrance is easy to miss). He was super friendly and helpful with suggestions and walking us through the apartment, which was very clean, but is an old structure and some of that is evident. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 9 of us. It is on a loud street, but that’s every street in London. Very conveniently located with easy access to groceries and tube stations and so many restaurants. And once there, their team was very responsive.
