Outside there is a private front patio with furniture and barbecue, as well as private parking for two cars. Within 3.5 miles you will find a shop and within 2.2 miles, a pub and please note that one well-behaved pet is welcome but sorry, no smoking. The town's historic market hall dates back to the 17th century, and a contemporary recreation facility with a pool is close by. In the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is conveniently located for visiting this stunning area. Within reasonable driving distance are Britain's top theme park, Alton Towers, as well as the rocky Black Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. The spectacular caverns in neighbouring Castleton and Little John's burial site in Hathersage are both well worth a visit, as are the other stately homes to be visited, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to name a few.
