Get a taste of Italian village life at Case Bernardini, an antique Italian estate dating back to the 1400s.
La Vaseria Country House is the ancient horse stable: it has been fully renovated and converted into a rental home in early 2023 and it consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom, a large living room with kitchen overlooking the outdoor garden, featuring an atmosphere of good times gone-by combined with all the modern comforts.
La Vaseria Country House is located at the edge of the estate with private entrance and the farmhouse is provided with a charming garden with woods and manicured garden facing the main villa.
Case Bernardini is immersed in the large park with corners of extraordinary beauty where you can walk and rest in the silence of nature. The avenues of aromatic herbs, the flowers, the ancient boxwood borders and the centuries-old plants that frame the large shared pool with the fountain, inside the Italian garden, are an intimate place, squeezed between the ancient walls of the lock and overlooking towards the splendid arcades of the villa where the owner lives.
Roam the Lucca hidden gems within minutes from La Vaseria Country House. Nature lovers will enjoy an adventure trip into the Orrido di Botri by rising up the streams among the woods or Prato Fiorito where the bespoke British Poet Shelley fainted at the intense scent of flowers. Go sightseeing with visiting the ancient town centres of Barga, Coreglia and Ghivizzano or gaze a drink by the medieval Ponte del Diavolo with its curios shape surrounded by the forest. And after a day of discoveries return to relax at the secret garden of Case Bernardini. A fascinating patio will lure you into the Tuscan light, where views of wooded hills unfold.
The view from the windows of La Vaseria Country House takes you back in time, to the slow atmosphere of a forgotten agricultural world, and to the magic of the pristine forest.
Case Bernardini is the name of the small ancient village that extends north of the city of Lucca in the municipality of Coreglia Antelminelli, a place of vacation, art and good living since immemorial times.
Over time, various farmhouses and embellishments have been added to the manor house until the 1700s, when the current architectural composition and the construction of the private church that opens onto the façade of the main villa in which the owner lives date back.
A stay at the Case Bernardini represents a journey through time to discover the beauty of nature and art that has been at home here for centuries.
Within the village, the structure of Albergo Diffuso has recently been developed: a method of using the various buildings forming part of the village that offers a series of additional services compared to simple short-term rentals.
There are common services between the various apartments as the Reception, a common living room equipped with a fridge, TV, magazines, board games, a bathroom and direct access to the garden. We offer on-site slow charging facilities, giving guests the convenience to recharge their electric vehicles during their stay.
