Ein geräumiges Erdgeschoss mit einer offenen Küche und Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl. Der Essbereich mit einem Bauernhaus-Tisch mit einer Bank und Blick auf die vielen Fenster in diesem Bereich. Esstisch bietet Platz für 6 Personen mit zusätzlichen 4 Hockern auf der Kücheninsel, die Ihre Essplätze auf 10 erweitern. Das Wohnzimmer mit Zugang zur abgeschirmten Veranda, um Ihren Raum noch weiter zu vergrößern oder auch nur frische Luft!

Die zweite Etage beherbergt 3 der insgesamt 5 Schlafzimmer. Die Master-Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett und ein 3/4 Badezimmer. Das zweite Schlafzimmer verfügt über 2 Einzelbetten und das dritte Schlafzimmer auf dieser Ebene verf��gt über ein Queensize-Bett. Es gibt auch ein komplettes Badezimmer auf dieser Ebene, das sich die Schlafzimmer 2 und 3 teilen.

Das fertige Untergeschoss bietet einen Aufenthaltsraum mit Sofa und TV, die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer sowie die Waschmaschine und den Trockner. Schlafzimmer 4 hat eine Pyramidenkoje (zwei über voll) und Schlafzimmer Nr. 5 hat ein Queensize-Bett.

Dieses Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet, um einen großen oder Mehrfamilienaufenthalt zum Kinderspiel zu machen. Vergessen Sie nicht, dass ein 2-sitziger Golfwagen für 4 Personen (saisonal) für Ihre Nutzung und Ihren Genuss enthalten ist.

Wir hoffen, dass Sie Ihren Aufenthalt im Captiva House genauso genießen, wie wir es hier genießen. Unsere Familie hat auf Captiva Island vor der Golfküste von Florida viele Erinnerungen gesammelt. Captiva ist für uns etwas Besonderes, seit wir 2005 dort im Sand heirateten. "Captiva House" ist eine Hommage an Captiva Island und was es für unsere Familie bedeutet.

Seitdem verbringen wir mehr Zeit im Sand am Ufer des Lake Michigan, in Illinois, Indiana und Michigan.

Resort is great, house is okay

Overall, the Beachwalk resort is great. The amenities are nice, lots of options to choose from and a great beach on Lake Michigan. But the Captiva House was okay. Pros: the house is modern, nice deck, back porch, lots of space and a nice fire pit area. Cons: the house is in the very back of the resort, far from amenities, and dirty. It was clear the floors hadn’t been mopped in quite a long time as the bottom of our feet turned black from just walking around the house, the carpet in the basement is matted down with dirt. In general the house needs a deep clean, shower curtains were grimy, bathroom, rugs, they were all dirty. The home has not been deep cleaned in a long time. The owner’s clutter was shoved into corners, closets, cupboards, etc. The other downside to Beachwalk is that each house is limited to one golf cart, so if you have a larger party you’ll be making lots of trips back and forth. We enjoyed the resort but will likely not be returning to this house.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I spoke with one of the representatives before we left. She took notes.The main issues were that almost every closet and some drawers were filled with items - clothing, slippers, broken toys, etc. It seems like the owner and or guest left things they diid not want behind and they were stuffed into closets and drawers.The side walk area of the house was overgrown.The pans were terrible.Missing/dead lightbulbs.The floors made bare feet dirty immediatley.Overall the house diid not seem cared for.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the area and the Beachwalk service team was amazing. The house floor plan was awesome for our family. We had some of the same issues as previous guests; the house was not super clean, our feet were so dirty if we walked around barefoot. The porches both need an upgrade. They could be a lot better if they were cleaner and had new furniture. We appreciated that there was kid toys there but most need cleaned. A lot of the house has been upgraded though!!

We love Beachwalk, but not Captiva House.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 14th year staying in Beachwalk where we rent a different house each year. Captiva is not a house I’d rent again and not one I’d recommend to a friend. It is a beautiful, updated house with nice furnishings, Is in a good location and comes with a wagon (was full of stuff and broken, but we made it work). However, the toys, junk, and overall clutter from the home owners is out of control. While the bedding looked and smelled clean, I cannot say the same for the floors as there was food and crumbs on them when we arrived. There is also a broken bed and some structural damage or serious settling to the house which makes it feel as though you are going to fall through the floor while in the master shower. We did let Beachwalk know of all of our concerns so they can be addressed. If the home owner fixes these things then this would be a great house. Overall, we had a wonderful week and didn’t let these things effect our vacation. We will be back to Beachwalk again next year!

Such an excellent experience

We LOVED this home. It really had everything (except beach towels so bring your own). We loved the resort, and all of the employees were helpful and respectful. The only thing negative I would say is that Michigan City does not have a lot to do and the city is a little rough. It could use more tourist activities like mini golf or other family activities. We enjoyed the Shoreline Brewery and the winery was amazing! A shuttle from the resort to the winery might have been nice. Also, if the resort had a tiki bar and a restaurant on the premises, that would be a great addition. Overall though, we had a great time. We would go again.

There is privacy behind house which is a one way street and beyond that backs up to woods with walking path. Having the golf cart was great to help carry items closer to the beach.There are only two minor issues which wouldn't deter me from staying - a couple bedroom doors didnt close well and there were too many personal items left on front and back porch.

Great vacation was had by all!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was beautiful. We loved the open concept of the first floor. I have never seen such a huge island like that before. There was plenty of room for everyone. I do wish there was a dresser or luggage stand in the bedrooms. The house was clean so we thought...we checked in a 4:00 and got to the house. Took our shoes off at the door, by the time we sat down a few hours later we looked at our bare feet and they were black. I let the office know about it and they sent someone to clean the floors. This is the third house at Beachwalk that we have stayed at and I think it’s our favorite. We went to the zoo and outlet mall. We Had dinner at Shoreline Brewery that was awesome! We made new family memories that we will treasure. Thank you!

Great House - Some Mechanical issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved our stay at Beachwalk. Captiva House is large and open - perfect for a large group or family. The house has a large, open, well stocked kitchen which was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were plentiful and well sized. The house was fairly new and well maintained. There is very little parking, so be aware. There is a nearby overflow lot. The backyard is small but has a great firepit and grill. The only issues we had were the mechanicals - the sump pump alarm went off, and although someone came to fix it, they ended up unplugging the wireless network equipment - and the sump alarm started again 24 hours later. We also woke to no hot water one day due to a tripped GFCI outlet on the water heater. All were easy fixes, but I don't want to be fixing my rental house.

Grand vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Captiva house was a great place to stay. The home has a beautiful layout, and the property has amenities to keep everyone busy. My only downfall for this property was that there was not enough cooking supplies which kept our breakfast and dinners at a slow pace. I have stayed in other properties which offer a great amount of pots, pans, and bowls. There is usually baking equipment as well. My other downfall for this property was that there was only 2 tv's one in the living room and one in the basements and of course the kids took over the one in the basement, so all the adults had to share the other...I felt sorry for the guys.
