Cortina is well located for 3 hikes we wanted to do, so that was great. The town itself , however is under major construction, demolition in preparation for the 2026 Olympics. Cranes everywhere, over 15 of them, parking downtown is already bad, but with construction everywhere, even more limited. We spent the previous week in Ortisei, Val Gardena and the houses are in much better shape. Cortina is more expensive , but many residences in poor shape. Probably be looking great for the Olympics in 26, but for now a bit of a nightmare, unfortunately. Apartment was ok, but would benefit from a microwave and a shower curtain. The house next door was being renovated, so noise at times and they paved the street while we were there, so not great walking on sticky tar for part of our walk to town, but part of beautification of Cortina for 2026, I guess. Communication with owner was great, and service from manager very efficient.
