Balencay - close to Hermanus old harbour

Balencay is a delightful, seaside thatched holiday home, situated close to the cliff paths in Hermanus. The house offers ample space for large families or groups of friends to relax and entertain. It boasts a sunny roof terrace with sea and mountain views, and a leafy and lush garden.

The house can accommodate 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms. The main bedroom is upstairs in the main house and contains a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a balcony, and a study and TV lounge with a fireplace and a sleeper couch, suitable for young children to be close to their parents. The second bedroom is in the main house on the ground floor and contains a queen-size bed, a fireplace and an adjacent bathroom with a bath and shower. This room has garden access. The third bedroom is the pool room and has either a king-size bed or 2 single beds, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The fourth bedroom is located upstairs above the garage with a kitchenette downstairs. It has either a king-size bed or 2 single beds, a balcony, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The house includes an open-plan kitchen and dining area, and a lounge, and features outdoor and indoor dining, Wi-Fi, an Apple TV, 3 fireplaces, books and games, and a safe for valuable items.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso machine. There is a scullery with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer, cleaning materials, and a pantry.

In addition, the house boasts a private, well-cared for garden, a solar heated swimming pool, pool loungers, an outdoor shower, gas braai facilities, and parking for guests. An inverter and solar power back-up system ensures power to basics such as fridge, lights, Wi-Fi and tv.

Guests can enjoy a stroll along the famous whale-watching cliff paths to Hermanus central and a number of restaurants, art galleries and coffee shops. The house is just a short drive to Blue Flag beaches.
