Along with a typical village store and church, the village boasts a few local inns. Flat country lanes all around it make for great riding and easy strolling. With all amenities, charming architecture, and tea rooms, nearby old Hedon is a great choice. The City of Hull, the 2017 City of Culture, is located seven miles from Burton Pidsea and features the amazing aquatic centre The Deep in addition to the well-known Truck Theatre. The ancient inner centre makes for an intriguing tour and sheds light on Hull's previous trading relationships. Wide, open sandy beaches stretch from Spurn Point to Bridlington, and birdwatchers will enjoy the Flamborough Cliffs, Bempton, and Spurn Point RSPB Reserves. The picturesque, historic City of York is a short drive away, as are the Beverley racetrack and the Yorkshire Wolds' undulating hills.
