Das Blue Butterfly II ist das Schwesterhotel von Miller Beachs Top-Urlaubsziel The Blue Butterfly. Nach mehreren Jahren Erweiterungswünschen haben wir endlich das richtige Zuhause gefunden! Das Blue Butterfly II ist ein geräumiges Haus mit zwei Etagen mit fünf Schlafzimmern, zwei aktualisierten Bädern, einer gut ausgestatteten Küche mit Edelstahlgeräten, stapelbarer Waschmaschine und Trockner, einem großen Hinterhof, Internet und Kabel, vier Flachbildfernsehern, ein Weber-Holzkohlegrill, ein Hochstuhl, ein Laufstall und andere Unterhaltungsangebote, darunter Brettspiele und ein 18 Fuß über dem Boden liegender Pool.

Die erste Etage verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit einer neuen Queen-Memory-Schaumstoffmatratze, einem 40-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher und einem großen begehbaren Kleiderschrank. Im ersten Stock gibt es auch Schlafzimmer zwei mit einer neuen Queen-Memory-Schaumstoffmatratze und Schlafzimmer 3 mit neuen Etagenbetten (1 Zweibettzimmer und 1 Doppelbett). Darüber hinaus verfügt die erste Etage über eine voll ausgestattete Küche, ein komplettes Badezimmer, ein Esszimmer und ein Wohnzimmer.

In der unteren Ebene befinden sich die Schlafzimmer 4 und 5 sowie ein weiterer Wohnraum, ein neues Bad mit Dusche und ein Waschraum. Schlafzimmer 4 ist ein großes Schlafzimmer mit einer neuen Queen-Memory-Schaumstoffmatratze, einem Full-Size-Futon, einem 40-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher und Walkout-Glasschiebetüren. Schlafzimmer 5 verfügt über eine neue Queen-Size-Memory-Foam-Matratze, ein Erkerfenster und Schränke für Sie und Ihn. Der Wohnbereich verfügt über einen 50-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher, Blu-Ray / DVD und Brettspiele. Das Badezimmer ist hell und modern mit U-Bahn-Fliesen und neuen Armaturen. Die Waschküche verfügt über eine stapelbare Waschmaschine und einen Trockner sowie eine Spüle.

Der Hinterhof ist geräumig und verfügt über eine Terrasse und vier Liegestühle auf einer Terrasse mit Blick auf einen 18 Fuß hohen Pool, der im September und Oktober beheizt wird. Die Terrasse, die zum Deck führt, verfügt über einen Weber-Holzkohlegrill. Der Blue Butterfly II bietet Platz für sechs. Great Place

This was a great mini vacation with my siblings and the house was amazing! So clean roomy everything we needed. The pool was fantastic! Loved very short walk to the beach and to the two restaurants (both fantastic) and little store that had everything!!

Property was as advertised. Location was great. We were in the pool or at the beach. Great for family or couples. Plenty of room. The deck is not attached to the house, so a lot of stairs involved. Inside does not flow into outside.

Family vacation

House is in a great location for walk to the beach. Pool was great and big hit with both the children and adults. Bedrooms are good size and accommodated us well for 6 adults and 3 kids. Great communication with owner. Will consider this property again if we vacation in this area. Also an hour drive to downtown Chicago for an easy day trip.

Fantastic place for a family trip!

Great house!! Clean and well maintained and updated. This is our second stay here and the house is freshly painted and there is new flooring. Very quick and friendly response to questions and concerns. Quick walk to the beach. We had 9 plus a baby and there was room at the table for all of us. We used a portable baby bed that is on-site for a 6 month old boy. The deck and pool area are a fun place to hang out. We also made s’mores at the fire pit. Very fun!!

Best stocked VRBO home we have ever stayed in

We have stayed at numerous VRBO homes and this home by far was the best stocked we have stayed in. Lots of food supplies, keurig cups, towels, beach towels, rafts for the pool, propane grill, etc. The home was as advertised and the pool was great. The home was located within minutes of Miller Beach and also located within minutes walking to 2 wonderful restaurants - Flamingo Pizza and Beach Cafe. Great experience!!!!

Relaxing and fun

Met up with some high school friends and our families for some R&R. Chose this property because of the reviews, location, and pool. Plenty of space for everyone to have their own room. AC kept the place very comfortable. Lots of towels. The place is showing its age and some of the dishes weren’t the cleanest when we arrived, so make sure to give everything a good look before you use it. If you’re looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay within walking distance to a clean and beautiful beach, this place is the ticket. (Fair warning for young families that if you’re looking to go to Flamingos down the street, it’s 21+. You can order take-out though.)

Great vacation!

Extremely well-equipped! Need something in the kitchen? Look around, it's probably there. The beach is not crowded. Fun and pretty easy to take the train to Chicago for a visit. Very close to Indiana Dunes National Park and a short drive to Indiana Dunes State Park. We liked disc golfing at Marquette Park less than a mile away. The pool and the deck are great places to relax! My family loved it! The owner is very responsive to questions.

Second time stay

We love this house and location. House is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. Plenty of space for us and friends. We find tons of activities in the area. Elizabeth is easy to communicate with and nearby. The beach is sandy and clean and not jammed. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house has everything you need too. This is our second summer visit to this home. Highly recommend! A+++++

Fantastic home with plenty of space. Kitchen was very well supplied if you wanted to cook, which we did. Access to a grill was great…my husband loves to grill. The pool in the back yard was an added bonus if you don’t feel like making the 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. 2 good restaurants are a 2-3 minute walk. The hosts were very responsive when communicating. Overall, a 10 out of 10 rating!😎😎

Close to a less populated beach, nice pool. Was very cold initially but owner told us how to adjust the temp and it was great soon after. House was clean and largte enough forf a big group. There was a musty smell but I think this is common in areas with a lot of moisture. Alot of steps but my 87 yo mother was able to negotiate them. There is an additional fence on the deck now that allows small children to play on thbe deck without fear of falling in the pool.

Our annual family vacation

The pool was most definitely the best thing for this house! The lake water was super cold, so the pool was where we did our swimming and then spent time at the lake watching the sunset in the evenings. Elizabeth was an excellent host! We are a family of 6 adults and 3 kids. First time ever we rented a house that we never had to go out to buy paper towels, TP, dish soap, or laundry detergent.😃 Neighborhood was very quiet and never felt unsafe. Neighbors we ran into were all friendly. Why I say this, before my vacation, when I told people where I was going, they all said we were going to a high crime area. We even went into Gary, to see the Jackson 5 childhood home. We went mid morning and it was just fine. It was a relaxing vacation!

Great beach trip

My family (myself, my husband, 4 kids 20-27 and 2 significant others) came to Miller Beach for our family vacation. We had a great time. The beach is only 2 blocks away and an easy walk. I don't know if the kids were back in school in the area but there were few other people on the beach. There are beach toys and chairs we could use which was a nice bonus. The pool was awesome although the week we were there it was a little chilly for a lot of swimming. There was plenty of room for everyone and the table easily fit 8 for dinner and board games. We had a little issue with the couch but apparently it wasn't put back together correctly so that wasn't an ongoing issue. I would have liked to have check in procedures a bit sooner. I requested them a couple days ahead. The owner said they send them out the day before although she sent them to me no problem. I got another email with them about 12 hours ahead of check in so I guess that's the usual.

Review of stay 8/20/19 - 8/24/19

The house was fine. Neighborhood was not. House next door was run down and looked abandoned. Yard completely full of junk. Many area homes run down. Nearby abandoned school and motel. Many nearby homes run down and some abandoned. Area was not one to walk around in. Back yard of rental had 6 to 8 metal fence posts that had been cut off. Remaining posts had 1 to 2 inch sharp stumps remaining in the grass. We covered them with stones. However, we had small kids and needed to keep them off the grass for fear of having them cut their feet. We have rented from this site many times. Never a problem before, This one was a bad surprise.

Well stocked family getaway home

We enjoyed our trip to Miller Beach and this well-stocked home. Had a minor snafu initially getting info about the entry code/getting into the house, but Elizabeth was very responsive to all our questions and very helpful. The pool is nice and I felt safe that my smaller children would not have access unless I let them (there are locks to get onto the patio and then again from the patio to pool area). One of the bedrooms on the main floor has a walk-in closet are that made a nice "bedroom" for our toddler next to our bed, and we appreciated all the "extras" for kids provided with the house (pool floaties, big beach wagon, and toys, books, etc.) Very well stocked, with tons of towels. Beach access is an easy walk that my 5 year old could manage with no complaints; the toddler needed the wagon. Lots of parking out front that fit our 3 vehicles easily. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and all fit around the dining room table (included the provided high chair!); more might have been a bit of a squeeze. I would recommend this place, and if we do a repeat trip to Miller Beach again would re-book.
