Excellent walking and cycling starts from the market place and “The Shawl” an escarpment with magnificent views across rolling Wensleydale towards Penhill and the Coverdale hills is easily accessible. Walkers, cyclists, artists and lovers of the countryside will enjoy some of the finest scenery in Yorkshire. Leyburn has a fine selection of individual shops, tearooms, pubs and quality restaurants. Enjoy a leisurely trip along the Wensleydale Railway, visit the magical Forbidden Corner and along the valley is the impressive Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls. Middleham, Hawes and Richmond each offer their own unique charm and are just a short drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
