The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this comfortable 3-bedroom apartment located next to Plaza Catalunya, the heart of Barcelona.

The apartment can accommodate up to 6 guests, with a living area that features a relaxing sofa and a flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances. This apartment has a great balcony ideal to enjoy Barcelona's summer days.

The apartment is 3 minutes from Metro Plaza de Catalunya (Red Line L1 & Green Line L3).

The Space:
Welcome to this 102 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya.

The apartment has a capacity for up to 6 people distributed in 3 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: 1 Double bed
Bedroom 2: 1 Double bed
Bedroom 3: 2 Individual beds

All bedrooms have AC, heating and storage space.

The Neighborhood:
Dreta de l'Eixample is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Plaça Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€

Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***

- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 2.25€ + VAT per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Also, from 2022 Barcelona City Council applies 3.25€ + VAT to the tourist tax as a city tax fee, also per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights.

- This cost of 6.65€ per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)

*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Great location
The location is great. Closed to the Ramblas street. We can walk easily to all of the Casa of Gaudi for visiting and closed to a lot of restaurant, boutique and Metro.

worst experience ever
We arrived and the smell of the space was awful. I contacted the host and was told they would provide some air fresheners. There were already 5 air fresheners there, so they knew it was gross. The place has missing ceiling tiles, floor boards and mold on the bathroom floor. I asked for hours for someone to come look at the space. Nothing. I had to book a hotel for my family at 8 pm. This space is gross

Various problems
When we arrived my master bathroom had large dirty footprints on the floor. The overall feeling was a little shabby. e.g. the large salon light fixture was hanging down from the ceiling, the louvered doors in the salon were missing many vents. The smell from the upstairs bathroom was very unpleasant and the balcony6 view was very dissapointing but the most dangerous thing was that there had been a quick repain to the itchen corner floor transition and my niece caught her toe, as it lifted, and bled quite profusely. GREAT location, apartment OK
The best attribute: Location, location, location! Across from a department store with a grocery store in the basement, taxi stand across the street, walking distance to Gothic quarter/Las Ramblas, good coffee shop downstairs. Can't beat it! The apartment itself was just OK. Some repairs needed (fridge didn't close properly, shower head wouldn't stay up, missing some light bulbs) and the twin bedroom is a loft so can get noisy. All things considered: it's a good value for the price given location, but I expected higher quality based on photos.

While the pictures are of the exact home what can’t be seen is the smell and some other issues. We arrived late at night and there were a lot of sketchy people in front of the building due to the bus stop being so close. Upon entry to the apartment the smell hits you. It’s a raw sewage foul order that encompasses the entire apartment. We opened windows but then flies came in so we had to close them. My son and husband suffer from bad allergies and after an hour in the apartment my son was extremely congested and my husband was sneezing. We closed both bathroom doors and had to spray Lysol to be able to sleep for the night. Around 7 am we heard loud talking near the front door sounding like someone was trying to get in the door. We all slept upstairs in the lofted space and could hear it clearly. It is not 3 actual bedrooms it is two bedrooms and a loft space that is open to everything. We opted to book another hotel because we didn’t want to ruin our trip by my son getting sick and having to go to the er to get a breathing treatment. I reached out to the owner who said he would have the maintenance team come in but of course we were not offered any type of refund or any other accommodations.

Beautiful apartment, horribly loud neighbors
This apartment is beautiful and just as pictured. Accommodations were extremely clean. Location is great, just across the street from Placa Catalunya, the metro and bus lines, and management was very responsive and very nice. Two big drawbacks: as some other reviewers mentioned, there is a bad sewer smell. I do think it is a city problem as we smelled it all over the neighborhood, however, especially the second floor in this apartment smelled badly. Second issue is the immediate neighbors who share a wall with this apartment’s bedrooms. They seem to be local residents and they party and play loud music all night. Out of a week’s stay, only two nights weren’t badly disrupted by very loud music and large numbers of partners in the apartment and out on the balcony. Management was very responsive and very nice about this, but they don’t manage that apartment so there is really nothing they can do, per their replies to me. And 20 something partiers don’t seem to care that they’ve been asked to be quiet by the neighbor three times by 2am (and the partying did go to 2, even 3am one night). This is an unfortunate circumstance because the apartment, minus the smell, was really great.

Nightmare-Dampened Vacation
Would we rent this apartment again: NO Let's start with some positive and then explain why we felt that the condition did not represent the listing. Positives: a) The apartment is well-located, right in the center and proximity to everything i.e. shops, restaurants, train stations etc. Loved location. b) Wi-fi worked well c) Dishes- well stocked. Negatives Chose our accommodation carefully because this is such an important highlight of our travel. Unfortunately Our accommodation was not what we expected: 1. Unshakeable stench- greets you in hallway and into the apartment. Worse in the downstairs bathroom. Pipe-replacement? 2. Bedding-absorbed that stench. Had to wash some bedding after struggling to sleep well. 3. Intentionally rented a place with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers. During vacation only ONE bathroom was operable. The shower in the downstairs bedroom was not mounted so had to shower while holding up the shower head. Our reservation was for 11 days. This was finally mounted on day 5. 4. Door on the 2nd bathroom upstairs kept coming out of the tracks. Safety concern since that our daughters were using this bathroom. In addition, initially the shower worked well and became the only shower we were using since the shower head downstairs was not mounted. When the maintenance repair person came on day 5 after we checked in Tuesday Aug 30th, we returned back from site-seeing to that shower having been dismantled with the shower control removed and NO running water for for shower nor toilet. Were told that there was something wrong with the pipes so we were left with one bathroom functioning vs the 2 on the listing. The host offered to have maintenance come to the apartment and spend 6hrs fixing the shower. Did not take him up on this for reason 5 listed below. 5. We walked in a little after midnight Tuesday Aug 30th to find apartment door WIDE OPEN. Maintenance had come by & left door wide open for approx 8hrs. This was VERY SCARY for my family and I for our safety and disregard of our property that was in the apartment. As a result we decided-not to have anyone come into the apartment. 6. Provided with one large towel per person for an 11 day reservation. 7. Floor boards by bathroom broken. 8)Fridge freezer not working. AC upstairs-not working well. Host was informed of all the above. 7. Wash basin sink pipe started leaking. Great location-Renovation & deep cleaning needed badly for the price.
