Das Hotel liegt im Makaha Valley Resort District und ist perfekt für 2, 3 oder 4 Gäste. Gehen Sie direkt zum berühmten Makaha Surfing Beach. Unser Oceanside Bungalow ist 700 Quadratmeter groß und verfügt über 2 klimatisierte Schlafzimmer, 1 Badezimmer, ein Wohnzimmer und eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Boogie Boards, Schnorchelausrüstung, Liegestühle, Sonnenschirme, sind alle in der Cabana neben dem Bungalow verfügbar. Schnorcheln Sie mit den Meeresschildkröten direkt am Strand. Machen Sie eine kleine Walbeobachtung vom Vorgarten ... .Migrationszeit ist Ende Dezember bis März, oder genießen Sie einfach ein gutes Buch, während Sie in der Hängematte schwingen. Sonnenuntergänge fragen Sie ..... unbedingt!

Makaha Beach ist wirklich das versteckte Juwel von Oahu. Sie sind nur 35 Meilen nordwestlich von Honolulu Flughafen entfernt von allen Massen. Makaha Beach ist berühmt für Surfen aus den 50er Jahren, aber es gibt auch großartiges Schnorcheln und einfach nur am Strand in der Sonne liegen.

Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einer großartigen Lage mit einem wunderschönen einsamen Strand sind, ist dieser Ort genau das Richtige für Sie. Unser Oceanside Bungalow befindet sich im Makaha Valley Resort District und teilt sich den Vorgarten (mit Blick auf das Meer) sowie die Strandausrüstung, die in der Cabana mit unserem Mountainside Bungalow zu finden ist. Wenn Sie gerne Golf spielen, bietet das Makaha Valley Resort 2 Golfplätze. Derzeit geschlossen, wird der Nordkurs von Gil Hanse neu gestaltet, der Olympiaplätze entwirft, und der derzeit geöffnete Südkurs, der von der PGA-Legende Tiger Woods neu gestaltet werden soll. Es wird gemunkelt, dass dies ein einzigartiger und unvergesslicher Golfplatz werden soll. Wir sind sehr aufgeregt.

Grillen Sie auf dem Rasen vor dem Haus und essen Sie unter dem über 100 Jahre alten Hau-Baum, der perfekte Ort, um die wunderschönen hawaiianischen Sonnenuntergänge zu genießen. Es gibt einen Grill außerhalb Ihres Bungalows und Sie werden Kohle und Feuerzeug in der Cabana finden.

Dies ist wirklich "local" Hawaii. Im Makaha Country Club können Sie Golf spielen oder vom Hafen von Waianae aus in der Tiefsee angeln. In unserer Nachbarschaft gibt es keine Bars oder Restaurants. 3 Meilen die Straße runter, in lokalem Besitz befindliche Restaurants Coquitos Latin Cuisine und Kahumana Organic Farm and Cafe. Das Beach House von 604 und Tacos and More haben eine Bar. In Ko'Olina (20 Minuten) finden Sie Roys, Pizza Corner, Monkey Pod, Eggs 'n Things, Island Vintage Coffee und mehr. In Kapolei (30 Minuten) finden Sie Outback, Chilis und viele weitere Restaurants.

Sie werden eine entspannende und sehr angenehme Zeit hier im The Bungalows haben. Wir haben zwei Bungalows auf unserem Grundstück, wir vertrauen darauf, dass Sie Ihren Mitgast respektieren werden. Das gesamte Anwesen ist für jedermann zu genießen.

The property is amazing… being on that section of the beach was perfect.

There are 4 adults in this house, with plenty of room and privacy. The property is so clean, and functional with everything needed to prepare meals if desired. The private beach is amazing! We would definitely rent this property again. Donna, Adrian, Scott and Julia.

Fabulous Stay

Bungalows are 75 feet from the Beach! Fabulous location, hardly anyone on the beach if front of the house. Relaxing sunsets under the Hau tree, very nice. We enjoyed our stay in Makaha, its the Leeward quiet side of the island. Highly recommend!

BEST TWO WEEKS EVER

If you have to quarantine, this is the only way to do it. The bungalow has everything you could ever want and more! We spent so much time in the hammocks, enjoying the property, and looking at the amazing views of the private beach. Lisa and Ken were fantastic hosts- they went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, plus a few things we didn't know we needed but absolutely did. The giant avocados were definitely a highlight, so tasty! Can't wait to come back and bring the rest of the family.

Amazing!

I want to tell you not to stay here, because I have a feeling this spot will soon blow up and getting access to it in the future may be difficult. The photos on VRBO do not do the property justice. The mountain rolls right down behind the house into the beach. The beach in back of the house is nearly deserted and there are all the amenities you need for a fun beach day in the shed. While swimming you’ll bump into several sea turtles and see whales from the back yard. It’s magical. Pro-tip: if you stay here check out Aloha Poke down the road. Best Poke we had on island!

OUTSTANDING

The beach house was clean and exactly the way the photos showed it. Some times you look at photos and they are deciving, but not at Oceanside Bungalow. They supplied beach chairs for us to sit on, beach toys along with towels, so we didn't have to carry them along from Minnesota. It took us all of 2 minuets to walk to the beach and enjoy the ocean and sand on our toes. Grocery stores and fast food restaurants were just a few miles away. Down town honolulu was just a 45 minuet drive for touring. In fact, we drove around almost the whole island in one day. We would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Hawaii. The next time we visit Hawaii, this is where we are going to stay.

Marvelous beach property!

Marvelous beach property! If you want a private, out of the fray of other tourists, with beautiful grounds, all the beach supplies you need and stay on a beautiful beach that feels like your very own, this is the place! My family of four adults stayed here for a week and loved every moment. In fact the last day, we couldn't soak up enough before heading to the airport. The property itself is a rustic beach house, but well supplied with all you will need from a fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a very comfortable futon for relaxing or sleeping, washer and dryer, grills and a cabana filled with all you need for your stay. The grounds have beautiful foliage that is well maintained. The Hau tree with tables and chairs on the beach side and the yard side were well used during our visit. We woke in the morning and either went straight to the beach to look for turtles, whales and surfers or sat and watched the waves with coffee under the tree. The grills, table, chairs lights and the tiki torches made for lovely dinners while we listened to the waves. Lisa and Ken were fantastic hosts and provided us with sight seeing and insight on best travel times when asked. I can't say enough good things about this property. We would recommend to family and friends as well as stay again ourselves.

Excellent little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu/Waikiki

After doing a bunch of research on places to stay away from Honolulu/Waikiki and something with close proximity to the ocean/beach, we stumbled upon the Bungalows and we were very impressed with the reviews and pictures. We thoroughly reviewed the reviews and figured this was the perfect spot for us with nightly sunsets and a somewhat private beach. We were even more impressed after visiting with the location and calm vibe of the leeward side of the island. It is much more "local" if that makes sense. Not many tourists and the ones we did run into on the beach seem like tourists who are basically regulars. They know the secret that is the north west side of the island. But mostly, on this side of the island you're with native Oahu'ans and everyone is friendly. There is some question about the "feel" of Waianae and the local homelessness that I saw in the reviews. We never once felt unsafe. The property is gate controlled and the property is far enough north that the feelings expressed in other reviews aren't really accurate. I could also tell that there is a strong police presence in the city of Waianae so they are very active in their monitoring. Like I said, we never felt unsafe or worried about our safety or our belongings. The sunsets here are AMAZING. That is probably the one thing we were really excited to experience. Personal, full-view sunsets, literally every night. Very happy with the property, the owners, the location and the experience. Will stay again!

Beautiful Property and Beach

Ken and Lisa were very friendly and accommodating. We had to print some passes for a show. We connected to the printer in the bungalow. However, there was no paper. We texted Lisa and within 15 minutes we had paper delivered to us. The beach was beautiful and clean. The property owners along the beach take good care of it. We saw a couple of sea turtles in the water. We have never snorkeled so we did not venture out to swim with them. The downsides for us were the distance from most of the tourist locations and the run down town of Waianae. Since this was our first trip to Hawaii, we wanted to see locations like Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, etc. It was about an hour drive each way. So, maybe staying for a few nights in Honolulu to see those places then staying the rest of the time at the bungalows would have been better. We found on our way home that Waianae is a somewhat of a high crime area. It was fine during the day though and we did not have any problems when we stopped at the Tamura Super Market for groceries. If you want a nice bungalow and an uncrowded beach to relax this is the place.

Not worth the money

I would like to rate my stay while at your property in Makaha Hawaii. Pros; Nice location Beds are comfortable AC is cold I Cons; 1 The property is old and needs updating. The windows don’t close properly and so the air condition unit is constantly running trying to catch up. 2. The furniture provided for the living room can accommodate three people in the old futon and one in an upright uncomfortable chair. That’s it. 3. The living room sits facing the west side so when the sun goes down it is extremely hot in the living room making hard to sit and enjoy. The curtains are very light and don’t keep the heavy sun out of the living room so for a few hours is hard to watch television. 4. The house was supplied with minimal toiletries, 2 rolls of toilet paper and two small soap samples for bathing, all of this for three adults staying one week. Obviously not enough so we had to buy more during the stay. 5. A remote is not available for the outside gate, meaning you have to get out of the car to get in and out of the house. Providing a remote control for your guest would make it more pleasant. 6. Too many rules for this house upon check in and check out. The owner expects you to sort your trash and keep your shoes off while in the house. I’m on vacation and don’t need the extra stress. 7. Although a cleaning fee is charged up front( first time I have to pay this in advance), the owner expects you to basically clean the house before you leave. If I am imposed a cleaning fee, then the owner should take care of the cleaning without bothering the guest. 8. There is only one ceiling fan in the living room/kitchen area which is not enough to keep the area cool when the sun is hitting the area directly in the late afternoon. There is a floor fan that barely helps. 9. There is only one TV provided and has free Samsung TV programming. If you don’t log in to your streaming device you are out of luck. 10. There is a second tv in one of the bedrooms but is not hooked up to anything and is useless unless you plug in a VCR or something external to view movies. 11. The worst off all is the fact that every morning around 4;00 am in the morning, a ton of roosters start loudly calling out their mates and then the dogs start barking. This continues until well past 7;30 am. There is no resting in the mornings as you get woken up every early morning by the roosters and dogs while you stay at this house. Not only should this be told to any prospective guest

We loved the beach and the house had everything you think you need and then some. I thought of giving only four stars for location because on the way to the house you do travel through some unpleasant areas. But having the beach almost to ourselves more then made up for it.

Beautiful beach and ocean view.

When we arrived the home was exactly as shown in the listing. Great place to stay if you want to be away from all the tourists. The location lacks restaurants but if you are wanting to cook it provides you with the basics. So go shopping before you arrive. You do share the property with others. The couple we shared with were great! We couldn't swim on our beach cause the waves were very intense. But we found that to be at most of the beaches on the west side of the island. Overall a beautiful location on the ocean. Great hosts!

Perfect!

Everything was perfect! The location was beautiful, wonderfully situated in Hawaii’s hidden gem Makaha. The bungalow is well maintained and the hosts are fabulous. I highly recommend these bungalows!

Excellent access to mostly private beach. Longest drive is to Polynesian center about 1.5 hrs. No loud neighbors. Nice secluded location away from the hustle of Waikiki.

Beautiful beach

The beach and the bungalow are great. The reason the 4 star and not a 5 is the living room furniture is very uncomfortable. You spend all day outside, however in the evening I do like to relax. Mahalo

Beautiful trade wind breezes throughout the day. Mostly dry with occasional rain showers. The best sunsets! A quiet relaxing large beach where you will see some of the locals teaching their kids how to swim and surf.

One of the quietest, relaxing, clean beaches in all of Oahu. Lots of ocean life to enjoy; you can swim with sea turtles and tropical fish, watch the whales as they breach the water during migrating season, and snorkel the coral reef.
