Sehr schöne Unterkunft

This is a great location to explore Cape Breton Island. All the highways converge at this point making day trips a breeze. Three days on Cape Breton Island

This was the perfect property for us--everything on one floor and just the right size for the two of us. Plenty of supplies for everything--bath, kitchen, etc. Was really surprised that Wendy was there to greet us, which was an added touch. She introduced us to the house and gave us great tips on what to see. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends who want to stay on Cape Breton.

Wonderful home and host

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer! The house was spacious and clean and included everything we needed. We got a load of laundry done and enjoyed a bag of provided popcorn and a popsicle! Wendy was a friendly and very helpful host. She gave us lots of tips and advice on where to go and the best way to get there for the remainder of our trip. She even told us to give her a call if we had any questions after we checked out. She made us feel at home and held make our trip a success. I would definitely recommend Wendy and this well appointed home away from home for any visitor to this beautiful area in Nova Scotia!

Cozy Home in Port Hastings

Wendy greeted us when we arrived and made us feel quite welcome. The home was very clean and well equipped with everything one would need including washer/dryer. Although we were only here for one night, this place would be ideal for longer stays. I would highly recommend this home.

Highly Recommend

The host was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations and a great resource. Also very responsive, excellent communication. The home was beautiful and a nice change from being in a hotel. The house was very homey, clean and comfortable. It is close to a beautiful walking trail and close to Port Hawkesbury where you can find some local restaurants and shopping.

Enjoyed our stay

Lovely one night stay. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities and everything you need including Keurig and assortment of coffee choices. Small deck to sit out and enjoy the view. 5-6 stairs with handrails to get into home. Host is friendly and engaging and had great suggestions for things to do that enhanced our trip.

Nice spot to take in Cape Breton Island from

Nice, clean and spacious property. Everything you would need for no matter how long you stay. Wendy is great had some suggestions for us as to how to make the most of our time. She had maps and guide books available as well. Comfortable homey space to relax and enjoy the island.

Great Place to Stay!

Our host upgraded us to a different rental on the property upon arrival and it was fabulous. The whole unit was exceptionally clean and everything we needed was there for us to use. Wendy was an excellent host. We will definitely be back again if the need arises.

Exploring Cabot Breton

Coming from British Columbia, we could not have chosen a better home base to explore this phenomenal part of Canada. Geographically we could do day trips, as we were central to all of the island and its roadways. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful with locations to explore which we had not initially thought of. So thankful for her suggestions. We could not have experienced a more welcoming and perfect “home” which had everything we needed and much more. Best experience ever - thank you Wendy!

Great Rental for the Cabot Trail

We had a wonderful time on Cape Breton. Wendy was such an incredibly communicative, warm, and caring host. She coordinated with us so she could greet us on arrival (even though was past 6pm) and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. She gave great local suggestions and had travel maps etc on board so we could make the most of our day on the Cabot Trail. I wish we'd had longer to explore Cape Breton. Wendy is a top notch host!

The home was fine and it worked well for me. The knob on the stove ( plastic) cracked when I turned it…. Easy fix. The weird thing was bees coming in the house and hanging out in the living room but not an issue for me. There was a little construction project going on and Wendy sat in a chair watching the workers…..made me a little uncomfortable having her hang out. I don’t want to make her feel bad but she has way too many inspirational sighs, all over the house…..not my style. The house was very clean,quiet neighborhood, not too far from stores and had a good layout. It was also very nice of Wendy to let me check in a little early after my long travel day.

Port Hastings Stay

Great stay in the community of Port Hastings. The host, Wendy, was so friendly and hospitable. She provided a fantastic stay, with every amenity you would need for a night away! She also provided some information on beaches and other destinations to visit. Welcomed our dogs with open arms. Very clean property with a yard for our dogs to enjoy. We enjoyed a coffee on the deck with her while we were checking out. 10/10 experience and we will definitely be staying again! Thanks Wendy!
