Just 10 minutes away is Guisborough, with a woodland walking trail as well as the iconic Guisborough Priory. In spring and summer the grounds are bursting with flowers, from bright daffodils to wild garlic. Less than a 30-minute drive away is the coast, where you have Saltburn, a surfers’ paradise, with a Victorian pier and cliff lift as well as a golden stretch of sand and shingle. Plus further down the coast you have Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby, all idyllic for days out. Many of the walking trails feature pubs, where you can rest and enjoy a hearty meal whilst mingling with friendly locals who are sure to recommend some of their favourite beauty spots.
