Jasmine Cottage is a newly renovated spacious terrace house ideally situated in the town of Haxby. Haxby is the perfect base for exploring the stunning City of York which is just a 5 miles drive away. The property can sleep up to 6 people in three bedrooms, it has free parking and free WIFI. The cottage has all the amenities you might need for your stay all within a short walk. You will find local pubs, shops, restaurants, takeaways and lovely independent shops and cafes. Central York is within a short drive but if you want to leave your car at home, a bus stop is a minute walk away with a regular bus service into the centre as well as to the shopping centres on the outskirts. Jasmine Cottage is also ideally situated for many popular attractions in and around York such as Castle Howard and an ideal base for exploring the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds and the Yorkshire Coast.

Jasmine Cottage is a spacious three-bedroom terrace house with a charming feel to it. On entering the property there is a hallway leading to a large open plan living room and dining room. The living area overlooks the village and has comfortable seating for six, TV, games, DVDS, books and FREE WIFI. The dining room has a dining table with 6 chairs to allow for you to sit down and enjoy your meals. The dining room leads to a newly fitted and fully equipped kitchen with integrated oven and hob, microwave, washing machine/Dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There is also plenty of storage to keep your supplies. Towards the back of the house is a spacious back hall with cupboard space, large fridge freezer and downstairs toilet with sink. Going upstairs you will find the master bedroom with comfortable king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps and plenty of storage space. All linen is provided. On this floor is another bedroom with two single beds and also a large family bathroom with large walk in shower, toilet and sink. Hand soap, bath mat and towels are provided. From this floor the staircase leads up to a large converted dormered attic bedroom with king-size bed. A travel cot that can be provided for a baby should this be required. To the rear of the property is a large courtyard to the back with flowerbeds.

Just what we were looking for

Stayed here as a family of 4 for a week in December (grown up kids). We found Jasmine Cottage very well setup and comfortable for our stay, with Angela quick to respond when a few queries for us came up. Local amenities extremely handy, in addition to being a well placed location for trips into York city centre.

The property had everything we needed for our short stay. It was very cosy and comfortable. The little steps up and down around the house took a little getting used to, especially for us oldies with varifocals - we managed ok though :-) . The house is good value for money and very convenient for visiting York and our family, Local shopping is very good too. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful cottage in Haxby

The cottage was perfect.. The village is beautiful with a duck pond and bus stop on the doorstep.. Just down the road from the property is an array of shops and cafes selling a great selection of foods, and a Sainsbury to stock up on essentials. There are takeaways and a couple of restaurants close by. We had a takeaway from Paddyfields chinese and One from a local indian, both beautiful. There are a couple of pubs locally, we didn't get chance to go, but they are within walking distance The property itself was perfect for 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The set up in the living area meant we could all watch a movie together and play games, the dining area which is in the same room give plenty of space for the 6 of us to sit around, eat and chat. The bathroom had a spacious shower, and the bedrooms were beautiful, comfortable and spacious.. It was also handy having a downstairs loo. The bus stop is literally outside the property and buses run regularly to York, we downloaded the First us app, and the prices were great for a day travelling .. Id definitely come back to the property and highly recommend it, for a peaceful, chilled break... Communication with the host was great and all questions answered.

Great property with AMAZING beds

Just back from a three night stay with my wife and 1yr old. The property has everything you need for a home from home stay. Kitchen is extremely well equipped with cookware, utensils and crockery. Lovely decor and the beds are so amazing that I’m on a mission to buy the same mattress. My wife and I had the most comfortable nights sleep in years (even with a 1yr old). Hosts are extremely welcoming and there for any questions you might have. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous Stay from Australia to Yorkshire

My husband and teenage son stayed at Angela’s cottage and used it as a base whilst travelling from Australia to see family in the area. We originally lived in the village so we know the location is perfect, with all amenities so close by including great pubs, fish & chip shop and lovely walks. It’s Not far from York with a bus stop right outside. The house is beautifully presented, very clean and was an ideal size for a family. Thank you Angela , my daughter and I look forward to visiting in June .
