Willkommen bei Sunset Bay! Wir wollen, dass unser schönes gemütliches Zuhause sich wohlfühlt und vor allem ein "Zuhause" fühlt. Wir unterbringen eine Familie oder Familien von 10 oder weniger. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Bucht und einen 3-minütigen Spaziergang zum sauberen Privatstrand, Fahrzeugzugang mit 2 Fahrminuten. Wir haben erstaunliche Restaurants, Convenience Stores und Verleih Unterhaltung in wenigen Minuten. Kaffeemaschine für frisch gebrühten Morgenkaffee. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über einen Fernseher mit DVD-Player, einen Blu-ray-Player, DirectTv und WLAN, JETZT! Komplett eingerichtet mit 2 Queensize-Betten und mehreren Betten, um alle bequem unterzubringen. Das Haus verfügt über eine neue Waschmaschine und einen Trockner und eine Außendusche, um Sand und Salz abzuspülen. Such a cute house

We loved our stay there but the only thing I was disappointed about was in the picture it looks like you can see the beach from the house. The house was just big enough for our family. The owner allowed me to check in early. She was very accommodating

Cute property, close proximity to the beach.

This property was really cute and a perfect fit for a weekend girls’ trip. A few tips: 1) Bring plastic ware - there is some silverware but not full sets for multiple people. 2) The photos show a bridge to the beach - note that this is across the street and to the left - we mistakenly thought it was right by the property. However, even across and over, it still took less than 4 minutes to get to a quiet part of the beach. 3) If you’ve never been to Surfside, just a heads up that the water is not great. It smells and I’ve never tasted it, but don’t think I would recommend trying. Bring bottled water! Also, this house tended to have some air in the pipes so the water would spout off-color on the various faucets when first turned on — this is not odd in the Surfside area so it’s not a “negative” as it happens at other places too (I’ve stayed in a number of different rentals in the area). It only took a few seconds to clear up, but I recommend not putting a your hands under the faucet or jumping in the shower until you’ve seen the water. Overall a great stay - would stay here again.

GREAT GET AWAY; VERY PLEASED

We have no complaints, it was a beautiful, new, very clean, comfortable home. Room for my family of 8 including grown children and grandkids. Plenty of room for us all. Nice deck and downstairs to relax and spend family time. The house is not on the beach side of the highway so we had to walk quite a distance across the highway with our grankids to the beach access. Though it sits center in a neighborhood, we felt that privacy was adequate and enjoyed the fenced in yard and privacy gate downstairs.

Missing items

We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with some items that were not available, like towels. Also, some of the furniture chair arm was broken, the door to the bottom sink cabnet was loose, and the dryer didn't work. Some of the pots and pans were unusable.

The house is beautiful and spacious and clean other that some of the dishes.The house is located across from the beach, but you cannot see the beach. The beach is several roads down and about a 10 minute walk. The bay is beside the unit, but is not accessible. The house is beautiful, but the dryer and the dishwasher did not work.

Overall our stay was great! Had everything we needed and the kids loved the house! Plenty of room. Our only complaint was the downstairs bed being fairly uncomfortable. Sunk in on both sides from extensive use, pretty hard, and small for 2 people. Also, the listing portrayed the house as being located on the beach, but it was across the road on the bay side. So if you want a "walk out onto the beach" house; this isn't that. Its a short walk across though. But it was still lovely and we enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra day.

Surfside stay

The property was pretty well maintained and looked very clean but none of the bed linens upstairs were clean. We found make-up and hair on them. The vacuum cleaner did not work. We were disappointed that we couldn’t walk out to the beach as we had at our other rentals but that was my fault. The cutlery was a motley assortment and there was no can opener, but that could have been the fault of previous tenants. We had fun and made good memories there.

Great place to relax

We love the real beach vibe. Surfside is it. You can drive out on the city beach in a 1/2 mile or the county beach in a mile or you can walk across the road and 300 yards and be on the beach from this house. We prefer the county beach because we drive right up to our spot and just unload everything. We parked our truck under the house inside the gate and let our dog run in the yard. Our daughters had there own room to chill in. We hardly ever seen them unless we were on the beach. House cleaning did a great job just was a little late to get there so we could get in. We didn’t mind getting the towels out of the dryer to get in on time. Everything was there plus water toys, canopy, and plenty of propane for the grill. We always make a HEB run for there pre-made dinners and the fridge worked great. I read a lot of reviews on this place most were good some were complainers, if you want a 5 star somebody to wait on you hotel go somewhere else. This is a family very nice and modern 5 star house that’s been used. That’s not us we loved it. It was great.

Overall it was a nice stay. We don’t expect something the ritz when paying what we did. For what we paid, it was nice. Toilets did not flush well. Refrigerator didn’t seem to be as cold as it needed to be. Floors were absolutely filthy. We could not walk around barefoot in the home without our feet turning BLACK! Made us not want our kids to be playing on the floor.

The home was a great layout and in good repair. Great little house for the week! No hand soap. Also it is a short walk to the beach but just know that it is on the west side of the main highway so you have to cross that to get to the beach.

Surfside stay at Sunset Bay

We loved staying at the house named Sunset Bay. It was roomy and clean. The access to the beach was just across the way. The fence around the driveway gave us great privacy. The view on the front deck was gorgeous with the morning sunrise. The price was affordable for my family and my brother’s family. I highly recommend this property. Just remember to bring your mosquito repellent!!!!

Moms and daughters weekend

We had 4 moms and 3 teenage girls staying in the house and the layout of the house made it so fun. The house is super cute and it looked like it was recently updated. The girls were able to all sleep in the bunk bed room together and the location is walkable to the beach. We definitely made some lasting memories that weekend and in the house.

The property was nice. It was clean. I wish there were extra tp and paper towels but because we read reviews we brought extra. Plenty of towels was a great plus. The internet went down a couple of times but the property owner was quick to respond. The technician came out 1 day to fix which was only a “band aid” then he came out and replaced the whole system which did the trick. Overal the communication with the owner was good. The place was clean. Would consider staying again if I was in the area.

Year end Family weekend 2022

I came across the property while searching for a weekend getaway as a nice fit for my family reunion. It has 3 rooms and my 2 daughters and their families seem to fit in well. 6 adults and 2 kids under the age of 6. Location is also good near the beach. The property itself looks clean in the photos. The rooms look ok too. After spending 3 days and 2 nights there , several areas need attention includes there is no liquid soap refills all through the property. Common supplies like paper towels is completely absent. There are kitchen cloths instead but they look stained. Some of the cooking pans look so old and scratched. Some of the hand and bath towels also look stained even though they have been laundered. Overall, the experience was ok because it is so close to the beach and you can bring small pets. But I wouldn’t fit 6 adults and 2 kids in this property.

Nice Family Weekend

Thank you for letting us stay! The house was just the right size for us and our in-laws. Towels/bedding/kitchen supplies/grill - all the necessities we needed. The beach access is just down the street and you can purchase a beach pass at the entrance. Note - it is a one way street on the beach with parking only on the dune side. PD was out enforcing and we say someone actually get a ticket. Beach was clean and water was clear since the waves were calm. There are two restaurants on the beach nearby that have nice patio options and good food. Small grocery store down the highway as well that has most of the basics. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

I grew up in Freeport and graduated from Brazosport high school in 2000, I attended Sam Houston and graduated with a bachelors in Criminal Justice, I always wanted to help people, that was and still is a passion of mine, unfortunately I wasn't able to pursue much of a career with in the criminal justice field. I did however pursue a career with in the oil and gas industry, which is how I met my Husband. He is a petroleum engineer and a UT graduate. We have two kids now and life as parents is definitely a challenge, and it can be overwhelming at times. Since I'm a beach girl, I convinced my husband to buy a beach house for our sanity! We couldn't find the one house that felt like home, until we walked into our little beach/bay house. We instantly knew that this house would become our little vacation home. Since our lives and jobs are located in Houston, our main home remains there, we live in Spring now, but having a vacation home for our growing family is definitely a blessing for us. Since this place has already brought us so many happy memories, we would like to share our home with other families so they can also have the opportunity to create happy memories themselves. :)
