This property deserves a zero rating and I think it borders on fraudulent description of the home.
Unfortunately, this is the worst place I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a few. First of all, the address that is listed is the wrong address. You telephone the host to give you correct address and he never answers the phone. 40 Euros over normal taxi rates later he comes on the phones and directs the taxi driver on how to get to the property. I ended up paying 65 Euros from airport to the property due to the wrong address given.
When you get to the property, the first sign that all is not okay, you are met with a broken door bell key pad. The host unfortunately does not know that the bell is not functional and asks you to press in to be let in by the cleaner.
When you finally get access to the building, you are met with a deep smell of mould all the way from the entrance to the 2nd floor where the property is located.
You then get into the most dirty accommodation I have ever seen. I took pictures to prove it and even shared these with the owner who promised to send in the cleaner again but this did not happen. The tiles are broken so if you go with young kids you need to be very careful. I think there should be a provision here to share photos so that people can get a real feel of what the property actually looks like.
The bathroom is a no go area as it is extremely dirty. The skirting next to the ceiling is brown and dark with mould. The smell of dampness and mould gets completely overwhelming. The dirt in the whole property is unbelievable. The area behind the television is the damping ground for broken tiles and dust. It is impossible to sleep in this home with such a strong smell of mould. I cannot describe accurately how the smell is. We stayed the night with windows fully open and the cold biting but it was of course better to be cold than be ill from the mould. When my children started coughing, i was on the phone at 6am to the agent to get help.
As if this is not enough, there is a clock that chimes every hour, so for example if it is 12 o'clock at night, the clock chimes 12 times. It then chimes once ever half hour.
The furniture is old and the entire property is in serious state of disrepair. I asked the host the purpose for paying the cleaning fee if the property is not cleaned and he did not get back to me.
This is the first time I have stayed fully awake the entire night on a holiday rental and I hope it is going to be my last.
I asked the host to come and see the home to appreciate what i was saying but he didn't
