Ein gemütliches Gästehaus mit einem Schlafzimmer, versteckt hinter einem Bauernhaus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert auf einem 1,5 Hektar großen Seegrundstück. Genießen Sie den Frieden und die Ruhe des Champlain-Sees in unserem Gästehaus. Von den vielen ruhigen Plätzen auf diesem großen Seegrundstück aus haben Sie eine herrliche Aussicht.

Dieses Gästehaus bietet Zugang zum Ufer des Sees. Genießen Sie morgens einen Kaffee oder ein Glas Wein am Abend, während Sie den Lake Champlain und die grünen Berge von Vermont bewundern. Gehen Sie die Stufen zum See hinunter zu Ihrem eigenen Schieferstrand. In der Unterkunft stehen Fahrräder und Kajaks kostenfrei zur Verfügung.

Diese Eigenschaft ist sehr ruhig und gelassen. Über einen Hektar Grünfläche sanft abfallend zu einem privaten Schieferstrand. Unübertroffene Ausblicke auf den See und die Green Mountains gibt es zuhauf. Das Anwesen ist wirklich ein verstecktes Juwel am wunderschönen Cumberland Head.

Cumberland Head ist eine wenig bekannte, ruhige Halbinsel, die an drei Seiten vom Lake Champlain umgeben ist. Dieser See ist der neuntgrößte natürliche Süßwassersee in den Vereinigten Staaten. Läufer, Wanderer und Radfahrer besuchen häufig die malerische Cumberland Head Road.

In den vier Jahreszeiten gibt es an der Küste von Adirondack immer etwas zu erleben: Schwimmen, Bootfahren, Angeln, Wandern, Camping, Radfahren, Laubblättern, Skifahren, Motorschlittenfahren usw. Die Adirondacks, Green Mountains, Montreal, Lake Placid und Burlington sind alle leicht mit dem Auto erreichbar. Daher ist die Anzahl von Outdoor-Sportarten, Festivals, Weingütern, Brauereien, Konzerten, Restaurants, Museen und Theatern sehr hoch.

Die nächstgelegenen Abfahrts- / Alpinskigebiete sind Beartown (~ 20 Minuten), Whiteface (~ 45 Minuten) und Titus (~ 60 Minuten). Etwas weiter entfernt sind Pisten in Vermont. Langlaufgebiete sind viel näher. Kontaktieren Sie mich für Details.

Beautiful views, close to anything you could possibly need. Extremely quiet neighborhood, would love to come back in the spring or summer. Host was very responsive and easy to talk to if needed. Would recommend to family.

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I spent 5 nights and days at this cozy cottage on Cumberland Head. It was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet, set in a lovely area with trees and a vineyard behind the place. We had a wonderful time!

Great stay!

My partner and I wanted a quiet relaxing getaway from the city and chose to stay here. The stay was just that. The property is clean, well maintained and within an hours travel of many natural sites of interest. We were also very close to the ferry to Vermont for day trips there, as well. We very much appreciated all the amenities and cleanliness of this property and the ease to unwind for the week. Thank you very much for a satisfying and relaxing stay, Chris! We definitely would recommend a stay!

Quiet and Private

Perfect location for our needs. Very quiet and restful and surrounded by lawns, trees, gardens, with a nice lake view. Access to the lake as well. Comfortable and clean cottage. Very enjoyable and convenient, lovely location.

Nice small place with water access

The location was very convenient. We liked walking to the Lake House and admiring the view. A few steps and short walk from the car was fine. House was small, but just what we needed. Comfy bed, good TVs.

Just what I needed

The cottage was immaculate and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. A good view of the lake from the kitchen or just a walk across the street to the rock beach. Took a bike out for a ride. Great getaway!

Just what we needed.

We enjoyed our stay in the guest cottage on Cumberland Head very much. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. It was perfect for us as a couple. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the shady yard with the views of the lake through the trees. The beach shack and slate beach with fire pit were really great. We enjoyed them every day of our stay. Sunrise with a cup of coffee was a great daily routine for us. We were not lucky enough to spot Champ during our visit, but enjoyed looking for him. Overall it was a great experience. Chris is a great host. The property surpassed our expectations. Cumberland Head and the surrounding Lake Champlain are stunning. We would not hesitate to stay there again and hope to do so.

Great cottage for summer rental

The cottage was located near the lake and would be a great stay in warmer weather. However we stayed for Thanksgiving and the cottage was not insulated enough for that time of year and our heater had an issue. The owner did get back to us regarding and offered another property for us to stay but we decided to head back to DC early instead. Chris refunded us the money for the unused time and was apologetic for the issue. I would stay again as the location was convenient and accommodating for our dogs.

Dangerous steps to beach

The cottage was nicely furnished, the owner friendly. But the description of access to the beach? Really deceptive. Several sets of narrow steps, steep, all without handrails, entirely unsafe unless you are a mountain goat. We came to swim and kayak and could only go to the city beach. Greatly disappointed.

Exceptional vacation on Lake Champlain!!!!!!

Wow- absolutely perfect for my vacation.....thank you chris for providing this magical place for me......all that i needed was there for me and the movie selections on the t.v. were the best....the bed was wonderful and the sky light were perfect....being on the lake is so special and to have it just steps away was a dream come true...lots of outdoor area to explore and close to the adirondacks made the trip.....i will see you chris next year..again, thank you!!!

We had a wonderful time at Chris' lakeside cottage. A great opportunity to relax as a family

The cottage we stayed in is set on1.5 acres of property next to Lake Champlain. There is also a main house that is also rented out. The setting is very peaceful and private. We were able to relax and enjoy the outdoors and there was plenty of space for our dog to run around. The cottage, although small and rustic, was clean and well-supplied. My daughter slept quite comfortably on the futon in the living room, while my husband and I slept in the main bedroom. The best part of the listing was having access to the beach house across the street (although shared with the other renters in the main house). We enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake and just hanging out as a family. We also enjoyed cycling around the Cumberland Head peninsula. The property is very close to the ferry that takes you to South Hero Island. From there you can drive to Burlington or other parts of Vermont. The listing has easy access to I-87 and from there we traveled to the Adirondacks and Montreal. Chris, our host was excellent to deal with. Although we never met him, he was very quick to answer all of my emails and gave us very detailed information regarding the listing. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Thanks Chris for your hospitality!

Amazing Getaway with an excellent view of Lake Champlain

Excellent place for a quite, peaceful getaway! Beautiful view of Lake Champlain and the Mountains of Vermont. It was very clean and well stocked. Room to park your boats with electrical hookups for charging your batteries. The owner was very eager to please and responds very fast to you. I highly recommend this vacation home, and would definitely come back.

Originally from the Lake Champlain region, I purchased this property to once again experience the beauty of Lake Champlain and the surrounding mountains. I look forward to sharing this unique property with guests.

This property is very quiet and serene. Over an acre of green space gently sloping down to a private slate beach. Unmatched views of the lake and the Green Mountains abound. The property is truly a hidden gem on beautiful Cumberland Head.

Cumberland Head is a little known, quiet peninsula surrounded on three sides by Lake Champlain. This lake is the 9th largest natural, fresh-water lake in the United States. Runners, walkers, and bicyclists frequent scenic Cumberland Head Road.

With four true seasons, there is always something fun to do outside on the Adirondack Coast - swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, camping, bicycling, leaf peeping, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. The Adirondacks, Green Mountains, Montreal, Lake Placid, and Burlington are all an easy drive away. So the number of outdoor sports, festivals, wineries, breweries, concerts, restaurants, museums, and theaters is very high.

Boaters - there is space to park one boat, jet skis, etc. in the south driveway (do not park in the main, paved driveway - it is for main house guests). You have access to exterior outlets on the main house to charge your batteries, and access to a spigot on the main house to wash down your boat. Please do not tie your boat to the dock.

There are several public places from where you can launch. Here are a few:

1. North of the property is Point Au Roche State Park, Off Route 9 north of Plattsburgh. It has a concrete ramp, and parking for 21 cars and trailers.

2. South of the property is the Wilcox Dock, off Route 9 on Cumberland Avenue. It has a concrete ramp, and parking for 75 cars and trailers.

3. Farther south is the City of Plattsburgh launch. It is off Dock Street in downtown Plattsburgh where the Saranac River meets the lake. It has hard surface ramps and parking for 31 cars and trailers + 12 cars.
