Great location but not the best apartment!
We stay in apartments regularly but have never had to pick the keys up from a letting agents office before. There was an option of meeting us at the property at a charge of 50 euros in cash. Strange given that the agent only accepted card payments for everything else!
The apartment when we eventually found it was on the 2nd floor accessible only by 37 stairs.
There was only a 500 ml bottle of water left in the fridge for us. We were a party of 5.
The fridge smelt strongly of fish and took us over 2 days to bleach!
There were only 3 hand towels & 3 mugs & apparently this is the 'Spanish way'?
The rainwater shower didn't work and the shower tray was dirty.
There was no welcome/information pack or emergency contact details
The mattress & pillow protectors didn't fit & were marked in several places.
We couldn't dry washing & the machine wasn't fitted properly & bounced across the floor. I suggest a washer/dryer
The was no spare/change of bedding or towels over the 2 weeks
A rep was sent round who was helpful.
Set in a beautiful quiet square with church bells sounding every 15 minutes, it is local to everywhere but the lack of basic requirements & cleanliness hugely lets it down.
We would stay in Tarragona again but not in this apartment and not through this agent. It is grossly overpriced, nowhere near value for money.
With a little bit of tweaking, this apartment could be lovely but at the moment it is far from it. Shame
