The good and the not good
Location is good for access to Underground, closest station is Edgware Road which is on a line to quickly get you to all the central London sites. The neighborhood has plenty of needed amenities for travelers and is quiet. The building has keypad entry, the unit requires an actual key. The building has elevators. The unit has a combo washer-dryer in the kitchen. The wash cycle takes 2 1/2 hours to complete. The dryer takes 1 1/2 hours.
The listing says 2 of the bedrooms have king beds - that is inaccurate! Only one room has a king bed, the other is a queen. The queen room and the room with 2 twin beds have en-suite bathrooms. Both are very small. In the bathroom with the 2 twins, when using the toilet you are touching the heated towel rack which you can’t turn off. The third bathroom is in the hall, it is the largest bathroom but you share it with mops and buckets. Also, the shower floor is so slippery we had to put a bath mat down for safety.
We were given 8 bath towels, 2 per room, for a 3 night visit. No hand towels, no wash cloths are provided.
There were partially used hair and bath products in each bathroom, likely left behind from prior guests. Liquid hand soap was in each bathroom.
All the bedrooms have individual cooling units that vent out a window. In the US they are called swamp coolers. They did a fine job keeping the bedrooms cool. There is no unit in the living room/kitchen area. That would be a problem in the summer.
We booked this through VRBO and received confirmation from VRBO. Three days before check-in I got an email from someone I did not know claiming I had to pay them for my reservation. I contacted VRBO and was able to confirm that the request for payment was legitimate. I was provided a link to make payment but did not receive the location address. Our day of check-in we were traveling from Amsterdam to London and the process of getting the location address and then meeting the person to let us into the property was very inefficient.
We did not think this was a good value for what it cost. We would not book it again,
