The villa is only a five-minute walk from the centre of the ancient village of Collobrieres and is set in peaceful wooded grounds and gardens with panoramic views and a full-size lovely pool with motorized safety cover, a play area with swings and ping pong table.

The location is ideal for all kinds of holidays. It is within easy access to BEACHES, the MARINA with excursions and WATER SPORTS, THEME PARKS, CYCLING, excellent GOLF COURSES and KAYAKING for outings whilst the location and terraces of the villa offer a restful and tranqull environment.

Style and comfort in a delightful small Provencal town

We have just returned from a wonderful two weeks in this property, which fully lives up to the website description. It is tucked away in a quiet area of villas just above Collobrieres, set in a beautiful garden and surrounding woodland. The house is very tastefully furnished and decorated and the smart, superbly equipped kitchen and modern four burner gas barbecue had everything I needed for cooking family meals. Comfy chairs and loungers are dotted about the terrace and garden as well as by the excellent pool so you can get sun or shade throughout the day. This also meant ample room for the seven of us (my wife and I, our four teenage daughters and one boyfriend) to find quiet spots for reading while others were playing noisy card and pool games. Collobrieres is a delightful place, off the main tourist trails but with a very welcoming feel. There are several restaurants and cafes, two boulangeries, a couple of general stores and an ice-cream maker, The five minute walk down to get croissant etc in the mornings was very enjoyable, with the smell from the freshly-baked baguettes in my bag making the slightly more arduous climb back up worthwhile! The nearest Mediterranean beaches are 30-40 minutes away - we settled on those at Le Mourillon near Toulon which are sandy with excellent swimming and parkland just behind the beach with palm trees for shade. There is also a reasonably-priced beachfront restaurant at Anse-les-Pins. Valentijn and Barbara, the owners, were staying in the upper floor of the house while we were there and were welcoming and helpful, for example arranging a doctor's appointment and hospital visit for us when one of our daughters fell ill. Valentijn drove down to meet us in Collobrieres when we first arrived to guide us up to the house - you wouldn't find it easily with Sat Nav. The driveway to the house is steep and was slightly alarming first time in my fully loaded people carrier - but don't worry, it is absolutely worth it when you arrive at this Provencal jewel.

A beautiful and well designed property for the perfect family holiday.

We have just spent a wonderful week at this property. The owners Barbara and Valentijn were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The apartment is extremely well equipped and comfortable. The pool area was very popular with us all - a great size and plenty of sunbeds. We enjoyed the short walk most days into Collobrière either to visit the local patisserie or to have a meal in one of the local restaurants. An attractive, typical Provençale village. We hope to return one day!

A very nice house in beautiful surroundings.

The house was very clean and well kept. Barbara and Valentijn did everything to help us having a wonderful vacation with our 4 children. Every day they came asking us if they could do anything to help us. The pool area was a hit for the kids age - also for the grown ups! We sat outside at the terrasse all day - and night. Keep in mind there are a lot of mosquitoes though. Collobrieres is a beautiful village with small bakeries, 2 small amenity stores and restaurants. 5 minutes down hill to the center, 10 min back up hill. We walked there many times just to enjoy the vibe of Provence.

Peaceful villa in the artistic and traditionally French and rustic Collobrieres

We had a lovely 2 week stay at this villa in Collobriere. The set up was perfect for us as a family of 5 with the 3 air conditioned double bedrooms in the main house and the double bedroom ensuite studio on the side for the grandparents. The pool was lovely and clean as well as being a perfect temperature and plenty of sun beds to lay on next to it. It's quite a steep hill to walk into the village but not much of a distance at all. Barbara and Valentine were always on hand if there were any problems or requests. All in all a fabulous stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Lovely house in Collobrieres

Agree with other reviews, the spec of the house is very good. Air con in the bedrooms made a big difference. The pool is excellent with a good aspect. Plenty of sun loungers and places in the shade. Valentin and Barbara were great hosts both with local information and introduced me to the local wine co-op which is also excellent. They kindly posted my daughters shoes that we had left behind. Collobrieres is a classic Provence town, nice atmosphere, there are some good restaurants where the food is local and great value. There were numerous festivals during our visit. Area is very good for road biking btw, very popular. In summary, a perfect base to explore the area or laze by the pool. Easily accommodates eight.

Fantastic Family Holiday

My extended family and I have recently returned from a most wonderful week at Barbara and Valentijn's apartment in Collobrieres. Having enjoyed two nights in Cannes en-route we were pleasantly surprised at how easily accessible the village of Collobrieres was, only a short hour and an half down the motorway and having arrived early for lunch in the village, our hosts graciously allowed us to gain access an hour earlier than promised, enabling an immediate (and welcome) cool off in the pool for our two children. The property was fantastic with a well-equipped kitchen which facilitated preparation of evening meals which were enjoyed by all under the wisteria on a large and cool terraced dining area. The swimming pool surpassed any we had in a holiday rental before and proved very popular with both sunbathing parents and aquatic children. Again as with the pool, the bedroom accommodation were excellent with the most comfortable bed, and the addition of a welcome pack of toiletries and bathrobes made it feel more like a five star hotel than a holiday let. This level of comfort was replicated in the separate studio which allowed grandparents some additional space during the stay. A decent wifi signal was apparent throughout the stay which proved a welcome distraction for the children in the evening. The location worked well for us being only a half-hour to an hour away from towns such as Hryeres, Toulon and Saint Tropez, and the five minute walk to the village was often rewarded with a game of Pétanque and a cool beer. While we had not anticipated our hosts to be staying on site while we holidaying, this proved not to be an issue as it had no impact on the privacy of the apartment or facilities such as the pool / outdoor areas, and the polite interaction and local knowledge provided only served to assist with our enjoyment of the area. Thanks again to both for the wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning again soon.

Superb

We just spent 2 weeks at this villa - 4 adults and 4 children. The villa is high spec and everything is provided (even beach towels). The local village is really friendly with plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from. Only downside is 20 minute drive to nearest big supermarket although there is a corner shop in the village for essentials. We will definitely go back at some point. Weather was 30c everyday and the kids loved the pool. A great base to explore southern France.

A wonderful stay in Collobrieres

We spent a week in a very nice, clean and well equipped house with a swimming pool in the beautiful village of Collobrieres in Provence. Barbara and Valentijn welcomed us with to their beautiful house and were very helpful in planning our vacation and what to see in the vicinity of the village. The pool was wonderful, clean and neat as well as the whole house and the yard surrounding it. The house was very well equipped and had all modern facilities, even english TV channels which was very nice during a couple of rainy days we had. Collobrieres, the small village the house is situated in, is only a few minute walk away from the house with nice café's and restaurants. On Saturdays there is a market at the main square. A trip to the beautiful beaches is only 30 minutes a way. We can very well recommend a holiday in Barbara and Valentijn's beautiful property in the geourgeous village of Collobrieres.

Amazing family holiday in fabulous home

Amazing and well equipped house overlooking a charming Provence village close to the beaches. From the moment we arrived the owners Barbara and Valentijn could not have been more helpful or do more to help us and our two young daughters. The pool was wonderful, regularly cleaned and the pool side furniture and parasols were excellent. We rented the whole house and it is ideal for those wanting a holiday with Grandparents or with another family as there is so much room on both floors. The kitchens are well equipped with all modern facilities and the bedrooms spacious and extremely comfortable. The village is a short walk down the hill and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The beaches of St Tropez, St Maxime and Hyeres are only a short drive away although it was very difficult to drag yourself away from the pool and shady terrace area. Cannot recommend this property enough and Barbara and Valentijn made this holiday one of our best as a family. Will be coming back !

Relaxing holiday with guaranteed sunshine!

We stayed here for a fortnight. Two families with 3 children. The facilities were fantastic this was the best pool we have ever had in a rental in France! Great outdoor furniture always somewhere in the shade to relax with a good book. The showers and bathrooms are lovely. Two different outdoor eating areas, all the kitchen facillities are very modern and easy to use. We eat out on a number of occasions in 4 nice local restaurants which were in walking distance so no need for anyone to drive home! A great holiday in a lovely part of France in a well equipped gite. We were helped by good recommendations for beaches, restaurants and days out by the friendly and welcoming owners.

Perfect stay

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Collobriers staying in this lovely apartment. Barbara and Valentijn were very welcoming and we felt instantly at home. All the little personal touches provided such as the welcome pack and the set of toiletries, and all the attention to detail make it feel extra special. We had some great nights sleeps in the very comfy bed. The outside area and next to the pool are great for sitting and relaxing. We walked into the village just down the hill most mornings to buy bread and sit drinking coffee in the square. There are a few good restaurants in the village, our favourite was the Farigoulette where we had a lovely meal. We would highly recommend this apartment and next time we are visiting Provence will definately look to stay here again. Many thanks Barbara and Valentijn.

Wonderful time

A wonderfull stay

We were fortunate to be able to stay for 3 weeks in Les Chenes Sessiles. It was not a day to long, if we could, we would have stayed longer.That is why we made a reservation for 3 weeks again in the summer 2014 a month ago. We're looking forward to enjoy again the nice and clean well decorated house. Collobrieres is nearby and can be reached in a 5 minute walk. Time has stood still in Collobrieres, with lovely buildings, a magnificent central square with old trees which give shadow on the nice terrace. I can recommend the tapa restaurant on the square with his delicious food, wine and Belgian beers. We've been a lot to the Cote dázur, but Collobrieres is at least the most central village for trips to all the cities in the Cote dÁzur and the Provence. The nature is also beautifull. Beside a very nice swimmingpool, we also enjoyed the kindness of Valentijn and Barbara. I can say that we added them to our friends. Beautiful holiday appartment in Massif de Maures

We spent a week here. The appartment is very nicely renovated and everything works. The owners are very nice and helpful. In the middle of Massif de Maures and great for hiking. About 40 minutes drive to the coast in direction Hyeres or Saint Tropez. Nice drives through the Massif although quite curvy. Recommendable!

Wonderful apartment & beautiful surroundings

A very well finished apartment with a lovely outdoor seating area which was great for the kids (10 and 13 mths old) to play on. The pool was bigger than I'd expected and was great, particularly to help cool off! It's set off to one side and has a gate to keep the kids out which was a bonus. The property is very well looked after and Valentijn and Barbara, the owners, made us feel very welcomed and I really felt they went the extra mile to make sure we had a great holiday. They arranged a local restaurant to deliver food for us on the first night and made good recommendations for the rest of the week as well as being very knowledgeable about the local area and it's history. The only downside was that only one of the bedrooms has fixed air-con, the others have portable machines or fans but keeping the window shutters closed all day kept it bearable despite being in the 20s every night. Collobrieres itself is a beautiful village with all the amenities you could want - great butcher and bakery and several lovely restaurants and bars. It's famed for its chestnuts and the local chestnut ice cream is surprisingly good ( so much so I think we had one most days!). It's quite a steep bumpy track into the village but we managed it with pushchairs and it kept us fit for the week! The best beaches we found took about 50-60mins by car to get to but staying somewhere so pretty where you can go and get fresh baguettes and croissants every morning definitely made up for any travelling we had to do. We had a wonderful holiday an would highly recommend it. The pictures don't do it justice!

Beautiful, family-friendly holiday home-from-home

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Collobrieres at this beautiful, well-appointed holiday home. The owners Valentijn and Barbara were very welcoming of my family, consisting of myself, my husband, my father and our three sons aged 11, 9 and (almost!) 2. The house was very well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely pool, gated access to prevent the little one running away, swing set in the garden and also gated access to the pool, again preventing the little one from getting anywhere he shouldn't alone. Collobrieres is a lovely little village 5 minutes walk downhill (but 10 minutes back, as it is a rather steep incline and can be rough going with a pushchair!) where we visited a great little Sunday market in the square. Entertainment is available in the evenings and there are some very nice restaurants, details of which our hosts were very happy to provide. Some lovely beaches a short drive away, with some very helpful directions again provided by Valentijn! Would definitely recommend for a sunny, peaceful and relaxing break with great views, and great wine from the local vineyards!

Fantastic House - Perfect Summer Vacation

We have just returned from a one week's break at this wonderful holiday home. Everything was as described. Beautiful decor, with lovely crisp white bedding. So many finishing touches such as fresh flowers, gorgeous gardens with wonderful shrubs in flower. The owerns Barbara and Valentijn were so welcoming and it was great to be able to have local knowledge of the area. We are a family with four children aged 18, 16, 12 and 8 and all of them throughally enjoyed the break. We are planning to go back again in the very near future. There is so much to explore and we have only just touched the surface!

Bam-Bam's House

A brand new renovated , stylish house with all the comfort you need . Terrace and parkingspace for several cars .The pool is great with enough space for kids and parents . You have a beautiful view over the village , far enough for peace and quiet but only five minutes walking to the village with shops and restaurants very close .

As we say in the description the house is so conveniently situated for both peace and stunning views yet close to the village with its restaurants and shops so there is no sense of isolation. Just as important, It is easy to reach the coast, on relatively quiet roads even in summer or many of the other holiday facilities in the area.
Although a classic provencal villa, it has been extensively modernized and has every modern convenience and comfort.
The gardens are all around the terraces and the wooded area ideal for the swing area
