The Space:
The property has a good-sized family kitchen, with full height fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee making facilities. A gentle slope takes you up into a newly carpeted lounge area with dual aspect windows, French doors, log burner and dining space for 4. Plus, SMART TV with Freeview and cupboard with games.
The master bedroom and twin bedroom (can be a king on request) both have French doors and views out over the local landscape. Comfortable mattresses, Laura Ashley linen and fluffy bath sheets.
The newly installed family bathroom has an electric shower/bath, heated towel rail and plenty of storage. We provide Faith in Nature toiletries for all of our guests to use during their stay.
Externally there is a large parking area for 2-3 cars, private gated garden and lawned area over looking a private tennis court which is yours to use during your stay. The tennis court use is subject to tennis only and guests must have none marking shoes and their own balls/rackets.
Guest Access:
Hawthorn Cottage offers convenient parking directly outside the front entrance, ensuring ample space for guests. The property is thoughtfully arranged on a single level, making it accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. While there is a step from the exterior into the kitchen area, and gentle ramp up to the living/dining room, the overall layout prioritizes accessibility and ease of movement for all guests.

As the original Somerset Market Town, Frome hosts regular markets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, along with 'The Frome Independent Market' on the first Sunday of each month from March to December. With private parking available at Ridgeway, Nunney, and Frome, traveling by car provides flexibility and ease. Explore the scenic countryside and nearby attractions at your own pace, enjoying the freedom to embark on day trips to destinations like Longleat Safari Park, Bath, Cheddar Gorge, and more.
Train
The nearby Frome train station offers frequent services to Bath and Bristol, providing convenient transportation options from London and other areas.
Taxi
It's best to pre book a taxi to and from the train station. Call Shawn at Smile Taxis to arrange.
Bus
You can catch a bus from Nunney Village to Frome. Excellent bus links from Frome connect to neighbouring towns such as Glastonbury and Wells. Frequent busses to Bath and Trowbridge. The bus stops are along Vallis Road opposite the property and the two main bus stops in town outside Boots.
Other Things to Note:
We do have quiet hours between 8am and 10pm in respect of our neighbours.
Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am. Early/late check-in/outs are available on request for a small fee.
We can provide a travel cot and high-chair on request.
