In short, Magic World has reinvented itself as a modern, family-friendly resort destination, with a focus on entertainment and immersive fantasy experiences, but retaining many of the services and attractions that made it popular under the Marina dOr name.
THE SURROUNDINGS (OR THE AREA)
The natural environment of Magic World, formerly Marina dOr, is characterised by its privileged location on the Costa del Azahar, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, which offers visitors a beautiful and relaxing coastal landscape. Although the resort is mostly a built-up area, it is surrounded by natural elements that enhance its attractiveness.
1. Golden Sand Beaches
Magic World's coastal area is lined with wide beaches of fine golden sand, stretching for several kilometres. These beaches are perfect for family tourism, with calm, shallow waters, ideal for swimming and water sports. The beach of Les Amplaries is the most outstanding, with promenades that invite you to enjoy the sunset and the Mediterranean climate.
2. Mediterranean vegetation
The surrounding area has landscaped areas that reproduce the typical Mediterranean vegetation. Here you can find palm, pine and olive trees, together with various species of native plants such as rosemary, lavender and thyme, which give the area its characteristic aroma. Many of these plants are used in the gardens and theme park areas of the resort.
3. The Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park
A few kilometres from Magic World is the Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park, a protected wetland area noted for its biodiversity. This wetland is home to a large number of migratory birds, making it an ideal place for birdwatching. The flora is also diverse, with aquatic plant species and marshes that contribute to the conservation of the ecosystem.
4. Oropesa Mountains
Inland, although not directly visible from the Magic World area, is the Sierra de Oropesa, a mountain range that offers hiking trails and spectacular panoramic views of the sea and coastline. These mountains are covered in Mediterranean vegetation, with pine trees and scrubland, and are a natural refuge for local wildlife.
5. Mediterranean climate
Magic World's climate is typically Mediterranean, with warm, sunny summers, mild winters and low rainfall, favouring a proliferation of outdoor activities. The sea breeze helps to mitigate the heat, making the area an ideal destination to enjoy the sun for much of the year.
6. Mediterranean waters
The Mediterranean Sea that bathes Magic World's coastline is clear and calm, with a characteristic turquoise blue tone that contrasts with the golden sand. As well as being a perfect place for leisure and relaxation, the sea also offers opportunities for sports such as windsurfing, paddle surfing and sailing.
Overall, Magic World's natural environment is a blend of the rich Mediterranean coastline, the gentle mountains of the interior and the biodiversity of the nearby wetlands. Although it is a tourist area, the surrounding natural elements play an important role in the experience of visitors.
