Willkommen bei On the Rocks! Dieses abgelegene, dreistöckige Haus mit Höhle verfügt über einen Außenwhirlpool in einer üppigen, waldreichen Umgebung in den San Jacinto Mountains. Die Gäste werden auch eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Bar und ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer haben. Great House, Property Management Company Less Than Stellar

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I will be looking for another company to rent from next time in Idyllwild. It was very expensive for such poor caretaking.

Can't recommend this property enough!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for our family of four with plenty of room to spare. The house is bigger than you would think with many balconies and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the views. Everything was in working order and immaculate. The management company was very responsive. They were even able to deliver an order of wood even though it was less than 3 days notice as required. They went above and beyond. We have told family and friends what a great home it was and the location was perfect. A 15 min walk to town and secluded from other neighbors. We will definitely book this place again.

This is a fun property, there are many places in and around the house to explore. We had a great time there and felt very at home. There are lots of stairs but we enjoyed the multi-levels. There were a few issues which is why we are giving it 3 out of 5 rating. The bbq did not have propane in the tank and the hot tub doesn't get hotter than 99 with people in it. I booked this property specifically with the intention of using the hot tub and the bbq. I texted PM about the empty propane in which we had $100 worth of tri-tip to grill and they never even bothered to respond. Which brings me to the property management. a month before our stay I called new spirit vacation homes (pm) but the voicemail box was full. They did not return any of my 3 text messages. To say I was unsatisfied with them is a massive understatement. Checking in was so awkward, no lock boxes but a window office in town. She opened up at 4:07pm and there was a line into the parking lot of 5 parties waiting to check in. so 4pm check in means 5pm enter the house. There were a couple minor complaints about the amenities but they are easily fixed. The extra linens were hard to find they were not put away very thoughtfully. We did not enjoy the trash compactor. But it bares repeating, this is a lovely house and all of our party absolutely loved it. 3 stars for management 4.5 stars for the property (minus .5 for the hot tub). Thank you for letting us use your home.

Reviewer Comments: Our original rental was cancelled suddenly, and we were offered this house--a really, what a gift that was.The home is spacious and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked (though items like sugar or oil may need to be purchased), and the hot tub is dreamy. The tv has wifi compatibility and some apps (Netflix for sure)--but the tv is pretty tiny and there is a VCR (no DVD). The home is very close to city center--it is walkable. We strongly recommend the doughnut shop in town.

Amazing cabin, amazing location , amazing views

I can't describe how beautiful the location of the property and the cabin was better than the pictures actually the pictures don't do it justice everything was awesome check in was easy , place was clean Cabin has everything you need it is a little dated but that doesn't matter because their location alone is beautiful and the pictures don't describe how big and roomy it is what a beautiful fireplace I truly feel that the description doesn't do it justice as well . me and my family teenagers and kids had a great time and we were so lucky to be there to see the snowfall and enjoy all that Idlewild has to offer. We will definitely be coming back to this exact cabin .

Pleasantly surprised!

Overall, a really great place to stay and would recommend it to others. I would have given a 4.5 stars if I could. The half star off was due to only a few slight items - the primary issue being the jacuzzi which needs better maintenance. The jacuzzi only worked the first day: on the second evening it had cooled down to 74 degrees and would not warm back up for the rest of our stay despite following all of the directions. Also, the jacuzzi had algae in it and had a film of slime. Overall though, really loved the place.

The master bath with big tub and skylight was awesome. After a long day outdoors, we like to get cozy and the fireplace was so nice. The main living room furniture could use some updating with a larger sofa and bigger TV. The blinds were a bit difficult to put up and down. The bedding seemed old and could use new duvets, comforters and blankets. Overall, this place was great.

This House is Worn Out and Dated

The Property is advertised and priced as a high end luxury, executive home. The pictures look good, but our experiences is that everything in the house is very dated and there are so many things that did not work or are in disrepair or very cheap. Examples include: Some Electrical outlets in Bathrooms and on Living Room floor did not work, House was not insulated and the heater is old and barely functions, the small kitchen appliances (toaster, coffee pot were barely functioning. The wine opener was cheap and unusable. Several light bulbs were out in the bathrooms and Master bedroom. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms had a big crack, The damper to the fireplace was stuck in the open position, The heater vents were difficult to open, The Bar stools at the kitchen counter were unstable and lean forward. The garbage compactor did not open and there was no kitchen garbage can. Overall it was a hassle, not an enjoyment to stay at this property. We will not be coming back and paying a premium price for low value/quality.

Great getaway

In just a couple of hours from LA, we submerged into the charming mountain village with beautiful nature and lots of hiking trails. The cabin was great – spacious, had all amenities, and conveniently located within ten minutes walk from the center. It is an ideal place for spending family time. We enjoyed our time and are very grateful to the host for our perfect getaway.

A Breath Of Fresh Air..

Booking was simple, I booked through VRBO. The communication wasn't thee greatest, It says allow 48hrs to respond, sometimes I had to write a few messages because I wouldn't get a response at all. When we arrived to the property, we were amazed at how beautiful it was. The View was spectacular. Unfortunately when we were touring the property we have beer cans around and in the property that we had to throw out. Many of the items in the home were worn out and or broken, such as the shower know. the bath tub stopper, the oven door pulls apart. The bbq was low on propane, but we made it work. We didn't let that stop us from enjoying the beauty of this home and it's surroundings. I can't wait to rent again!!

Great cabin

The cabin was lovely and close to town but felt very secluded. We spent Christmas at the cabin and loved the layout - it was well stocked with cookware, so cooking was a breeze and there was plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 children. We played games, enjoyed the jacuzzi and hiked local trails and explored behind the cabin as well. Everyone had a wonderful time !! Thank you!!

Wonderful Place

The place was perfect. It had plenty of space for a family of 4 with plenty to do for the younger kids. We would most definitely consider coming back. It's packed with charm! The only tiny drawback is that, on the hotter days, it can be quite hot well through the night even with all the windows open and the fans on.

Location is perfect I loved that you are literally 3 min from the little town. So you are able to go to market, pump gas, go to restaurant near by without having to drive long. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Home is 3 floors plenary of space for everyone. Although the Kitchen is a bit outdated and so are cooking utensils. Also wish it had A/C it was hot and 2 bedrooms don’t have ceiling fans so it was hot. We had to go out and buy 2 fans at the local hardware shop which wasn’t far at all. But after sunset if you keep windows open cool air does come in. Overall we had a great relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and stocked with all they essentials.. loved the view and the out doors.. great place to wake up too.. fresh air and very cozy.. we loved it.. can't wait to return.. the weekend went by so fast
