Henrietta, The Coach House, Cadgwith

Set in 2 acres just off the SW Coast Path in idyllic traditional fishing cove Cadgwith on the Lizard Peninsula. Short walk to beach, pub & cafe in unspoilt cornish fishing cove. Perfect for couples.
The carriage was brought to Cadgwith in the 1920s by an employee of Great Western to provide holiday accommodation for their family, and is believed to have been built in 1874.
Henrietta comprises of 1 double bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom with a bath. She sits beside a small stream, with a beautiful quiet streamside private garden. Guests are also welcome to make use of the 2 acres of garden, with free range ducks, chickens and and 3 mad pygmy goats! There is also another carriage, 2 further lets and owners accommodation on the site, which all provide private gardens with outdoor seating, bbq etc.

Diese Ferienhütte in Helston liegt in ländlicher Umgebung und in Strandnähe. Bonython Estate Gardens und Hafen von Mullion Cove sind einen Ausflug wert, wenn du etwas unternehmen möchtest. Wer dagegen die Attraktionen der Region bewundern möchte, ist hier richtig: One2Eleven und Flambards. Tolmen Centre – hier kannst du einen unterhaltsamen Abend verbringen. Wenn du zusammen mit Kindern reist, schau doch einmal hier vorbei: Potager Garden. Beim Kajakfahren und beim Tauchen kannst du die umliegende Wasserwelt erkunden oder aber du stürzt dich beim Reiten und beim Höhlenwandern ganz in der Nähe in ein Abenteuer mit festem Boden unter den Füßen.

Fantastic location and lovely property

Loved it , quirky and unusual with fab history. Decor was great. Host was excellent and we had lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival and popped over to say hello and provide some local knowledge. We loved how quiet the location is . Perfect for a weekend recharge and to explore the Luzard peninsula.

Quaint and unusual

Lovely and quiet, out of the way. Great hosts, lovely pub just down the road Cadgwith Cove Inn, with some of the best food I have had in a long time.I would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect 2 night stay!

We probably had the worst weather from Storm Bert. Nevertheless, we were tucked away in "Henrietta" our beautifull, comfortable and cosy carriage. Not once were we bothered by the storm.

A perfect week

We last stayed here 8 years ago - in the Old Coach. We finally returned and weren’t disappointed, Henrietta was just as lovely and we had a wonderful stay with everything we needed. Even rainy weather on Sunday morning didn’t spoil our enjoyment as we sat and relaxed listening to the little stream running at the edge of the woods just outside the carriage. The local area is beautiful, both the cove and further afield - we enjoyed walking the coast path, and, of course, we couldn’t miss seeing Kynance Cove again. Overall a perfect stay, thank you :)

Wonderful setting, lovely accommodation

Situated in close to and up the hill from the charming harbour village of Cadgwith, this accommodation is tucked away in a beautiful corner of The Lizard. Paula, our host, was lovely and the facilities are first-rate. Recommended to visit - don't forget to say hello to the goats!

Perfect

Our railway carriage was set in a secluded part of a two acre setting, bordered by a wood and well tended gardens. The carriage itself provided the double bedroom and compact but well appointed kitchen, with an extension providing a spacious lounge, storage and bathroom. It was perfect for the two of us with a short walk to a lovely pub/restaurant and as a base to explore the beautiful surroundings. The owners were helpful and friendly.

A Superb & Cosy Stay

Perfect for couples & met all our needs. A really cute space and warm enough in the winter months. Set in a beautiful garden & lovely stream going past the window. Delighted it’s dog friendly too.

Charming and peaceful retreat

Henrietta is lovely and comfortable with everything you would need for a relaxing break. The lounge has large windows looking into the woods with a small stream trickling by and a hedge screened private garden. Its quirky without compromising on comfort. The site is very good and walking distance to the cove, which has a great pub with daily fish specials from the local boats. Very tasty. We would stay here again.

Simply lovely!

We love staying here! Henrietta is lovely, cosy and well equipped for her size. A welcoming cream tea is provided as a welcome from the host Paula. Dogs are welcome too. Easy access to the coast path - just under 5 miles to Lizard point. Will definitely be visiting again.

The property and surrounding area exeded our expectations. Overall a very enjoyable 7 day's holiday.

The property suited our needs. The owners may want to consider putting a shower cubicle in the bathroom as the bath was to small for our liking and a little awkward using the hand shower.

We have lived here for 17 years with our 3 children, goats ducks and chickens, and couldn't live anywhere else!!!!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We had fallen in love with Cadgwith 30 years ago and had to live here. With direct access to the coast path, quiet, but within walking distance to the cove, beach & Pub. The cove does not change, and is an authentic fishing community seldom found in Cornwall anymore.
