Spring break 2024

Great Stay

The condo was as advertised, the balcony was large and had a great view of the ocean, and all the beds were very comfortable! Beach towels were provided which was awesome and it was great having laundry in the unit. The only downfall was the resort puts up 5 rows of umbrellas and chairs for rent on the beach and when we went to reserve them on our first day only the back row was available. If you are considering staying I would strongly suggest that you use the website ldvbeach.com to rent an umbrella and chairs a week or more before arriving as I assume that is what many others did to get rows closer to the beach. This information is in the welcome binder provided by the host but was too late for us unfortunately. The umbrella and chairs provided by the host were great and we used them almost every day, but you do have to set them up behind the 5 rows of rentals so no real view of the ocean.

Condo was just as listed. We had a toilet issue when arrived but property owner was 9n it right away! Eady to communicate with. Highly suggest this unit to anyone looking!

Perfect getaway destination

Everything was exactly as described. Beds were comfortable. Hosts provided little extras that made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable (fan for bedroom, power strips, beach towels and chairs). View of the beach and ocean were amazing through the floor to ceiling windows. Would definitely recommend this property!

Great family vacation!

Perfect for our family of 4, everything we needed on the beach and at the pools. Great dining options close by and many things to keep our teens entertained. The condo is beautiful with a perfect view of the ocean!

A special vacation

The condo and the view was spectacular! This was a special vacation for us because our 3 children got to find out what their newest sibling was going to be. The pools were great and the beach beautiful! The room was clean, tidy, and had a lot of home comforts! We will be back!

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

This location couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of four. We had quick access to the beach so we could set up the chairs and umbrella that were supplied in the balcony closet. Our boys loved moving from the beach to the pool below our balcony on the hot afternoons because the condo shaded it. Ordering groceries from Publix and to our surprise they delivered directly to our room making it so convenient. The cafe on site had amazing food for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. We ended each day with a special tiki drink and our boys loved the frozen kid friendly ones! Our snorkeling excursion from the Harbor Village was an easy $8 Uber ride away. Just perfect and we can’t wait to go back!

Spacious family condo right on the beach!

Wonderful condo with everything you need for a beach vacation! Washer/dryer and beach closet with chairs, toys and coolers were are favorites! The view is amazing! The resort has many extras like 2 restaurants and a tiki bar! Highly recommend this unit!

Pelican Beach Resort

We loved it-the condo was beautiful with a wonderful view. It was right on the beach. The pools were very nice. The only bad thing-we we’re able to get in the big hot tub only on our first day of the stay-after that the hot tub was TOO HOT. I and other guests repotted it. Hardly anyone used it because it was too hot.

Wonderful host and rental!

I chose this condo based on the previous reviews the host received and I was not disappointed! Laura was extremely accommodating and just plain wonderful to work with. The condo is exactly what the pictures show. Very clean and stocked with all you will need for your getaway. The Pelican Beach Resort has a wonderful tiki bar with a terrific menu (both food and drinks) that is very reasonably priced. This was our first trip to Destin and we will be back! Thanks so much for helping make our week such a great time!

Great condo with a view

Condo was comfortable and well stocked with everything you need including beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. Great central location in Destin. The Cafe in the building has fantastic food too! Washer/dryer was nice to have.

Great condo for family

During the pandemic my family has missed four vacations.... my children have been too afraid of hanging out in a space that wasn’t ours :(. This condo was so amazing!! Everything was actually as described online. We had a wonderful experience and it felt like home :) we loved our stay so much that after the first night of six we booked and paid for another seven days in August. We loved our time in your condo! Thank you for allowing us to see the beach again :)

We couldn't have asked for better!

Laura is a perfect host and you will love this condo. Our family actually rented two condos and we definitely had the better one. Laura supplies starter supplies of basic items such as dish soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc which is a huge help. The kitchen is also stocked with basic seasonings, adequate cooking equipment, and both a regular coffee maker and a k cup maker. The condo is decorated beautifully (I'd love to know where the dining table came from) and you can tell they want guests to feel comfortable. The view is perfect and there's always a breeze. Our family rented five chairs and a large umbrella during our stay through the beach service. I do wish the beach service didn't take up so much room because there are plenty of people who would rather bring their own chairs down AND get a view of that gorgeous gulf water. Bonus!!!! You'll find Laura has some beach chairs for guests- just please take care of the items so she can continue to offer them. There's plenty to do in the area also. If you feel like a walk before breakfast, check out Crackings....I had the crawfish eggs-touffe and gouda grits....easily a top five breakfast I'll ever eat. You can walk to a typical beachwear store and an ice cream shop too. The pool was too cool for us right now but we totally expected that (very beginning of April). The bar/snack shack outside may get a long line but the drinks are good, the bartenders nice, and they move people quickly. Check out Gulf Coast Escape if your family likes escape rooms....I had never done one and we loved it. Go ahead, book this condo....you will be very pleased with the property, area, and your host. Well Stocked Condo

Laura was wonderful to work with and even helped us squeeze in another day to our trip! The condo was very clean and well stocked. The unlocked storage closet off the balcony was especially helpful...boogie boards, sand toys, and plenty of chairs! The view from the balcony was as pictured. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the owners or the actual condo unit, is that the property is a large and busy place. There really isn't a place for kids to build sandcastles or throw a ball because the beach front is taken up with chairs and umbrellas. If you plan to rent umbrellas do so online at Pelican Beach Resorts page way in advance. Most days the set ups were 4 - 5 rows deep. Thankfully we discovered that you can rent from the set up folks that are to the left (facing the ocean) of the resort. They only had one row of chairs/umbrellas so we were able to sit on the front row and have a great view and it wasn't crowded at all.
