Exceptional Cottage with Amazing Hosts!

5 Stars is not enough to rate this beautiful oasis! By far the best stay we have experienced. The Acorn cottage was better than described with attention to every detail to the bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, makings for a continental breakfast and not to mention Bev's homemade banana bread. The cottage is private, with breathtaking views, extremely clean with attention to EVERY detail. Bev and Jerry go over and beyond being great host. A pure gem in Sonoma! We can’t wait for our next return visit! Thank you again Bev and Jerry!

Amazing Experience in Wine Country

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week to celebrate a birthday, and this place was one of the highlights! The property itself is beautiful and quiet, and maintained to a standard that shows thoughtfulness and care. The hosts are the nicest people, they seem to actually care that people enjoy their stay on the property and in the area.

Perfect Getaway

Acorn House is an example of that rare experience when the property is even better than its listing! The cottage and environs are wonderfully cared for and the hosts have thought of every detail in the house to make the stay wonderful. Everything clean and in working order and lots of special touches! The hosts really went above and beyond in communication and went out of their way to support our interests and needs. Fabulous Stay at the Acorn House!

Count yourself lucky to be able to stay at this private, vineyard cottage in the best part of Sonoma wine country. Kenwood has its own stunning vineyard estates nearby and is an easy drive to Sonoma town center as well as within easy range to the Russian River Valley, Napa, the Pacific coast, and more. Bev and Jerry are the most gracious hosts; inviting us for wine and accompaniments in their private cellar for great conversation as well as area recommendations. Those being where to go for tastings and other adventures such as the Armstrong Redwoods and the Jack London estate. They even provided us with a great packing box for travelling back with our wine; and we filled it :-) The property itself is basically your own private vineyard "Acorn Cottage" with wildlife, on beautifully landscaped grounds. A very unique setting. Looking forward to a return stay. Thank you Bev and Jerry.

Secluded Get-Away!

Beautiful, clean and accomodating! Our hosts keep a very lovely and well thought out rental! Complete with welcome snacks and wine from their own vineyard! We would 100% stay on this property again as it was homey, quiet and peaceful.

Sonoma Getaway

This is more of an experience than a rental property. Acorn Cottage was accurately described and the perfect size and privacy for two. There a several Sonoma wineries within 5-10 minutes and Napa Valley a nice 35 minute drive through the mountains. Jerry and Bev were great host and we look forward to coming back.

Fantastic Memorial Day weekend

From the moment we arrived, Bev and Jerry took great care of us! From the homemade banana bread, to the wine, cheese and other goodies left for us, we couldn't have asked for more. The property is stunning in its location and landscaping. Very private and secure.

Wonderful Hosts and sweet cottage

The Acorn House is a lovely cottage and the hosts were exceptional. They were very accommodating and generous, including leaving us a Marin cheese and crackers, homemade banana bread, wine, beer and bottled water. The hot tub was great and the property is private and secluded.

Can’t wait to return!

Our stay at Acorn House was a wonderful, relaxing retreat in a beautiful setting with the most welcoming hosts we’ve ever had. The property is beautiful and very private. The cottage is so cozy and comfortable, and there is a lovely view of the 500-year old oak tree from the living room. We enjoyed an evening in the hot tub under the full moon. We had dinners at the Salt and Stone restaurant just down the road, which we highly recommend. Thank you Jerry and Bev for making our stay so special. We’ll be back!

Best of the Best - No other comes close - BEST VRBO EVER!!

The property is on 4 acres of immaculately kept property/vineyards/Cottage in Kenwood between Santa Rosa and Sonoma. The hosts treated us like family/best friends. UNPRECEDENTED - We were welcomed with a time of wine and hors d’ouevers to get to know our hosts when we arrived. I am encouraged to “pay forward” their hospitality to all people that God sends our way.

Tranquil and Relaxing

What a great property. Just as advertised. Close to great eating and wineries. We wish we had stayed longer. Bev & Jerry are the perfect hosts. The hot tub was well used and private. The home was stocked with wine, some munchies and drinks. The grounds and inside were in perfect condition. We will be back!!!

Jerry and Bev Stemach are life-long residents of Northern California. They have lived in wine country for 40 years and have hosted guests for 20 years. They farm petit verdot grapes under the Sonoma Valley appellation. Petit verdot is a Bordeaux varietal often used as a blending grape. When it comes to winery and restaurant recommendations, guests consistently describe Jerry and Bev as "spot on".
