Unser familiengeführtes Unternehmen bietet alles, was Sie für einen perfekten Urlaub benötigen. Sie können dem Trubel entfliehen und diesen Urlaubsort zu Ihrem Zuhause machen.

Neben Les Vignes gibt es 3 weitere gut ausgestattete, neu renovierte Ferienhäuser (Les Hirondelles 10280453, L'Ecurie 10280471 und La Forge 10280472), die alle Einrichtungen für Selbstversorger, die Nutzung des Gemeinschaftspools und wunderschöne Gärten bieten warten nur darauf, erkundet zu werden. Unsere vier Ferienhäuser sind das ganze Jahr über verfügbar:

Les Vignes ist ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit 3 Schlafzimmern, ideal für Familien. Das im Jahr 2016 komplett renovierte Hotel bietet eine hervorragende Ausstattung.

Fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful holiday, the gite is beautifully renovated - comfortable, modern and clean inside but maintains rural French charm. We loved the garden and pool and exploring the local nearby villages. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommend!

Équipement complet

Tania et John acceptent les séjours d’une nuit, ce que nous avons grandement apprécié pour notre étape. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit mais nous avons pu nous détendre dans la piscine chauffée après la route et les bouchons. Ce fut très agréable. Le gîte est situé au calme en pleine campagne, dans un ensemble de petites maisons restaurées joliment. Il est petit mais vraiment très bien équipé. A recommander.

Ruhe und Landurlaub

Sehr liebevoll sanierte Landhäuser auf großem Grundstück mit Pool, Spielplatz, Grillbereich und großem Parkplatz. Wir waren nur als Zwischenstopp dort, durch die bereits bezogenen Betten ist das sehr unkompliziert möglich. Die Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet und wir hätten uns auch gern ein paar Tage länger die Gegend angeschaut. Sehr sympathische Gastgeber, die unweit der zu mietenden Objekte selbst wohnen. Ventilatoren in den Schlafzimmern bringen etwas Kühlung auch in heißen Sommermonaten. Eine Klimaanlage ist nicht vorhanden. Dafür ein schöner erfrischender Pool. Wirklich ein sehr schöner Ort zur Erholung!

Vacances au calme au bord de la piscine

Ce petit havre de paix fut fort sympathique. La maison est chouette, petite mais bien aménagée et agréable. Trois chambre à l'étage, au rez-de-chaussée le salon, la cuisine, la salle de bain et la buanderie. A notre arrivée John nous a accueilli et il y avait sur la table du salon un panier avec de quoi faire un premier repas : pâtes, sauce tomates, vin, gâteaux apéritifs, oeufs, biscotte, confiture... C'est très agréable pour arriver sans courir au supermarché. Nous journée s'articulait entre la piscine - partagée, chauffée, avec transats et parasols - la terrasse, le barbecue, les jeux pour les enfants (toboggan, balançoire, ballon etc...) Divers espaces extérieurs sont aménagés, permettant aux différentes familles de vacanciers de se partager agréablement les lieux sans se marcher dessus. Il y a même un terrain de pétanque. Autrement nous avons testé le restaurant "le Neuf" à Aulnay. C'est un endroit joliment décoré où l'on mange très bien avec un accueil et un service de qualité. Nous vous le recommandons, mieux vaut réserver.

Excellent stay and beautiful place

John and Tania are excellent hosts and met us to show us around the gite, after our delay. Beautifully clean gite and a nice welcome pack. Full of knowledge about the local area and beyond with information available for family visits. We loved the pool, use of bikes and played boules and table tennis and enjoyed family time throughout. The uk tv channels brought some familiar watching late in the evening and good WiFi. Lovely villages of Aulnay and Néré are close enough to pop into the boulangerie for beautiful local food. I can’t fault any service about our stay with the warm, friendly service from John and Tania and there gorgeous, quaint location. I would stay here again

A warm welcome in a well equipped and comfortable gite.

We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely place for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Tania and John made us feel very welcome. The kids loved the pool and the many games and sports equipment provided. The surroundings provide ample opportunity to sight see, be active or take it easy and slide into the relaxed and stress free French way of life. Local markets and restaurants serve fresh seasonal produce at great value for money. If the proverbial grumpy Frenchmen do exist, they all must have been on holidays elsewhere, because we didn't meet any.

Gorgeous

Loved the quiet countryside location amongst the fields and the vines and the sunflowers. Loved the old cottage that has been renovated perfectly. Loved the hosts who were so friendly and welcoming. And easy to communicate with. Loved lunch at the little bistro in nearby town Néré (which is open lunch and dinner every day except Tuesday). Loved having a pool during this hot hot season here in France. Playthings/playground for the kids.

Gite charmant

Le gîte de John et Tania est superbe, propre et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. La propriété est grande et les enfants ont apprécié tout cet espace de jeux. Beaucoup de petites attention des propriétaires. Tania a prêté un ballon de foot aux garçons et John nous a apporté des bûches pour le feu lors d'une soirée assez fraîche. Nous recommandons ce gite vivement.

Perfect getaway break

This place is perfect in every way. We are returning customers, this being our second time in the last 6 weeks. The gite is beautifully maintained and to a very high standard, comfortable clean beds, glorious showers, equipped kitchen, log burner, TV and the wifi also works perfectly, but to name a few of the things that brought us back here. The evening meal if required is also excellent and delivered direct to your door, so you can enjoy the comforts of a good meal and wine without leaving your cosy gite and is exceptional value for money. The owners John and Tania offer excellent customer service and are always at hand happy to help. It is quiet and relaxing there and I would most certainly recommend it. We will definitely be returning again and again.

A wee paradise...

This was our first trip to France and certainly won't be our last. We spent 4 nights in Les Vignes at Chez Fins Bois and we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was immaculate. Clean, comfortable and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. We enjoyed using the pool on a couple of occasions, a good size, if a tad chilly. Our evenings were spent playing dominoes, cards and darts. The scenery was spectacular. Reminded us of home (Scotland), just a bit flatter. We took the bikes out one day and enjoyed a leisurely ride into Nere. Tania and John were great hosts. Full of helpful info and recommendations. A very relaxing few days and we can't wait to come back.

Très bon accueil

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez John et Tania qui nous ont réservé un excellent accueil. Panier à notre arrivée pour un premier apéritif en famille. Tout est prévu pour les enfants. Piscine sécurisée avec transats, air de jeux, vélos, jeu de fléchettes, terrain de pétanque, balançoire etc... Bref , tout était parfait . Je recommande à ceux qui veulent être au calme et en famille.

Wonderful week.

My friend and I spent a wonderful week in our Gite. The Gite has been renovated and decorated to the highest standard.the equipment was first class and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the great pool area. I look forward to my next visit Tania and John were extremely hospitable and I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodatio.

A stunning transformation

Having stayed at this gite complex a few years ago when it was in a state of significant disrepair I was somewhat sceptical when invited by the new owners to come and see the improvements that have been made in the intervening period. We need not have worried. The renovations to the gites are both sympathetic and modern with both rural charm and contemporary comfort. Les Vignes has been transformed into a small, but comfortable, well-appointed and homely holiday let with great facilities. The small kitchen is well appointed and more than ample for our family with a small dishwasher and wood burning stove for colder evenings. The bathroom, previously a sad joke of faulty fixtures, tired fittings and unmanageable plumbing is now tasteful, modern and functional. The bedrooms are well appointed, new roof windows with blackout blinds provide good light and ventilation and the clever use of mirrors brings in more light and space. Outside the gites the landscape has been transformed, the area around the pool is a work in progress, but already much improved with the removal of a lot of the overhanging foliage. The playing field is well maintained and attractive as is the new swingset, the car park has been resurfaced as have the common areas. There are still (at the time of writing in summer 2016) two buildings to renovate along with the new games barn. When complete these will make the place stunning. A great destination to visit in its own right with peace and quiet in the rural location, but ample outdoor provision to keep the family happy and within easy travelling distance to La Rochelle, Cognac, Bordeaux, Royan and the rest of the Charente area.

Hailing from Warwickshire and Worcestershire, having seen the children safely grow up and build successful careers of their own, it was time for John and Tania to "pull the plug" and move, lock, stock and barrel, to France in order to realise a long held dream.

In their previous lives, John was a director of an import/distribution company, working with Chinese and Vietnamese factories supplying national retailers with consumer durables (there are only so many long haul flights one person can take in a lifetime); Tania was a receptionist at a busy dental practice in Stratford upon Avon.

Now based permanently on site, they have made Chez Fins Bois their home and are loving the slower pace of life.

Eventually there will be five fully renovated properties in this rural setting but, for 2016 at least, they will have three up and running, of which Les Hirondelles was the first to open in early April.

The second sunniest region in France, Charente Maritime is a beautiful place in which to spend a relaxing holiday.

Long clear straight Roman roads make driving a pleasure once again. Secluded villages selling local produce with small bars and bistros to explore.

The rolling countryside is a patchwork quilt of vineyards (grapes mainly destined to become Pineau or Cognac) interspersed with cornfields and sunflowers.

The long, unspoilt Atlantic beaches are not far away and within an hour's drive. La Rochelle is a beautiful historic port , the Aquarium is a superb attraction. St Martin Ile de Ré is stunning, reminiscent of Padstow, the bars and restaurants surrounding the marina are ideal for a relaxing lunchtime drink or an afternoon drink.

This is a historic region with palaeolithic settlements standing side by side with the Gallo Roman forts, arches and amphitheatres.

Cognac, Angoulême, Saint Jean d'Angely, Niort, Saintes are larger picturesque medieval towns all within easy reach.

The Church of Saint-Pierre d'Aulnay (French: Église Saint-Pierre d'Aulnay) is an important Medieval church on the pilgrim's way to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. The Church is thought to have been built in 1120-1140.

However, why not just enjoy the gardens, pool, al-fresco dining and games and just relax in this peaceful setting
