I sincerely recommend this place to anyone seeking a piece of mind and real touch of Mallorca. The house is great, spacious, clean and well equipped and after a day we felt at home. The terraces are huge and the sea view is truly amazing.
Imagine visiting Spain and staying with your favorite spanish cousin in her lovely home by the sea. That is exactly what our experience was like when my sons, husband, his mother and I rented this villa from Ramon in August. We couldn't have asked for a better first experience of Mallorca. We had originally planned on staying in Valldemossa, but I came across Ramon's listing by mistake - I'm so glad I did. The villa was clean, spacious (even by U.S. standards) and was equipped with everything we could possibly need - toiletries, umbrellas, hairdryer, iron, washing machine, bottled water, basic foodstuffs, etc. The owner Ramon prepared a fantastic welcome pack, including delicatessen foods, fruits, champagne, olive oil, cheeses, bread.... The best welcome we have ever had.
While the house was pleasant and well-located, the rental manager Magdalena kindness is what made our experience so special. I'm going to start by saying that we were very needy travelers and Magdalena was there for us every step of the way. For example, my mother-in-law wanted to see the ancient mountain village of Lluch and Magdalena offered to book a taxi for us for two hours through mountain roads to get us there (my husband and the kids went to Palma that day). She even helped my mother-in-law finding an authentic Mallorquin cookbook. She offered us her office in Soller, inviting us to take coffee and she shared her wifi password with us (that allowed my husband and kids to check their email accounts). She recommended great places for us to visit and even helped us buy our train tickets to see Palma from Soller. Every restaurant she recommended had some of the most amazing food I've ever eaten in my life. I would highly recommend learning some basic spanish (or catalan, the local language) if traveling to Mallorca since locals will be very grateful. My spanish was awful, but I was happy to know the phrases I did. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else while visiting this gorgeous island and the five of us can't wait to go back.
