Das Bootshaus ist eine erhöhte Kabine mit einem privaten Deck mit Blick auf Somes Sound. Das Anwesen ist abgelegen und ruhig und der Privatstrand ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Die Kabine hat eine Badewanne, einen kleinen Kühlschrank, eine Mikrowelle und einen Grill. Das Bett ist ein Rollbett mit zwei Einzelbetten. Der untere Zwilling kann angehoben werden, um auf der gleichen Ebene wie der obere Zwilling zu sein. Diese Hütte ist Teil eines größeren Grundstücks (insgesamt 3 Gebäude) und kann separat oder in Verbindung mit den anderen Objekten gemietet werden. Weitere Informationen finden Sie in VRBO 1010585. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es zu Mietzeiten kommen kann, wenn alle drei Objekte an verschiedene Gäste vermietet werden. Die Hütte ist der perfekte Ort zum Lesen und Entspannen.

Perfect Peaceful Place on the Water

Our stay at the Boathouse was exactly what we needed to get away! It was a short drive to all the attractions of Acadia and some great food places! The house was clean, cozy and peaceful and was supplied with everything you could possibly want! Great place to relax at the end of a day of adventures !Would recommend to anyone!

Boathouse is perfect for a couples getaway

The property is very nice and conveniently located. Other guests were staying in the main house but still very private. The boathouse is perfect for two people looking to getaway. The deck was great for evenings looking out on the sound. Arax is an excellent host highly recommend!!!

Cozy Bar Harbor/Acadia Getaway

Loved the cozy cottage vibe of the boathouse. The proximity to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor was convenient, and the boathouse’s beach area provided its own peaceful retreat! Would definitely come back on our next stay!

Cozy and scenic boathouse

My partner and I loved staying in the boathouse. It is in a beautiful location, right next to the ocean, and is conveniently located to explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. The boathouse is cozy and comfortable and Arax was a wonderful host.

Beautiful, functional and very peaceful!!!

We loved our stay at the Boat House!!! Arax and friends, family and Coda, were awesome and very helpful, and the accommodations were so well thought out!!! Everything was so functional and beautiful!!! The location was so quiet except for the occasional birds, including loons, owls, hummingbirds and a wide variety of passerines. The views from the deck were spectacular, both day and night, and Bar Harbor was a close and easy drive. We had a wonderful time during our 8 night stay!!!

The boathouse

Conveniently located in the middle of the island. Short drive to everything. Property is beautiful. Loved the landscaping. Once the tide went down, built a camp fire on the shore and enjoyed the amazing Maine stars. House is perfect for two people. Had everything we needed. Would definitely go back!

The apartment in the boathouse is small but very adequate for a weeks stay. There were many nice touches and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Awesome

Love this place. Close to Acadia but away from the crowds and allowed us to enjoy the quieter side hikes in the park. The view and peace and quiet cannot be beat. Has everything and more! We came back from hiking early 2 days in a row just to enjoy the deck, view and nature. Beds were comfortable and no problem being a trundle. Host Arax is awesome, kind and welcoming. Provided everything we needed and more.. Highly recommend. Hope we can return someday.

Perfect retreat

We had an amazing stay. The location was perfect. And the property was very relaxing and quite with great views of wildlife and the water. The cabin was small but very well though out and all the necessities were there. Great property will definitely be staying again when are back in the area.

Beautiful property, magical stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the Boathouse. Arax was a wonderful host and seemed to have thought of everything a guest might need, and added some lovely welcoming touches. The Boathouse was perfect for me and my husband, staying 6 nights. The pull-out bed was very comfortable and the kitchen appliances and all the cooking utensils and plates etc were ideal for our needs. We enjoyed grilling and eating on the porch every evening. Beginning each day watching wildlife from the shore was magical. The Boathouse is perfectly located to access the whole island and national park. The location on Somes Sound is stunning. A group was staying at the house next door but we barely heard them. We still felt that we were having a quiet, secluded getaway. So much care has gone into making the Boathouse such a special place to stay. We can't wait to return.

Comfort for a family of 3

I wasn’t unsurprised but the cabin, but I sure was delighted by the personal touches which included a bottle of wine, candy, snacks for hikes, popcorn for cozy night nights. After my 5 year old raided the candy and the snacks we settled in and got ready for a 5 day stay that didn’t disappoint. We did wish for a proper sink to wash dishes in 2 nights, but besides that we had no other complaints. We had an amazing family trip in Acadia and being on the quiet side was way better than our past trips to Bar Harbor. We highly recommend!

Amazing

First time up to Maine and I already want to return. The Boathouse is perfect for a solo explorer looking to get away from the noise of the city. The property provides kayaks and with easy access to the Some Sound its a great way to start the morning. I will definitely be returning to this property for future excursions.

Perfect little house on a great property

“Grandpa” stayed in the Boathouse (and Grandma in the Casita) adjacent to the kids and grandkids in the main house. It was awesome to have our own spaces where the grands could wake up early, make their coffee and breakfast, and watch the news, while the rest of us could sleep in a bit. The deck on The Boathouse is one of the nicest spots on the property, with a gorgeous view of the Sound thru the pine trees. The whole property is beautiful and well located with easy access to stores, Acadia hiking trails, and of course Somes Sound where we used the kayaks that came along with the rental, as well as a canoe we rented separately and tubes we brought from home. The water temperature was actually not that bad for swimming a bit, and we saw porpoises from the kayaks one day! Arax could not have been a more thoughtful host, and our stay here was so nice that we hope to come back again soon!

Loved our stay

We traveled to Acadia National Park for part of our 30th anniversary celebration. The boathouse is small, but perfect for our stay on Mount Desert Island. It’s centrally located on a lovely property. The boathouse is well furnished, and the bed is very comfortable. We especially loved getting to know Arax. She is a wonderful and personable host. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, endless ammenities

This property has an amazing view and is in a great location. We were greeted by 4 deer as we arrived on the property which was just amazing and goes to show how unique this location is. Communication with Arax was better than we could have asked for and she made our stay that much better. The boathouse offers so many amenities and essentials that everyone needs on vacation. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Cute, quiet, relaxing

Perfect stay for 2! This place had anything and everything you’d need or forgot. Loved the deck and views of the water. Was a great location to explore the quiet side of Acadia yet not too far from the main parts of Acadia. Would stay here again!

Cozy cabin in a great location

The Boathouse is great place to stay for visiting the Acadia area. Acadia Nation Park and Bar Harbor are minutes away. Echo Lake is right down the street. Arax is welcoming and a great host. The property is beautiful and right on the water. The Boathouse is a comfortable stay for two!

Charming, peaceful, perfect!

The Boathouse was simply amazing, and Arax was a wonderful host! The boathouse itself was charming and perfect for my husband and me to spend a long weekend. We met friends that were sailing the area and it was large enough for the four of us to hang out on the porch and inside. The view and location are perfect. We were steps from the water and had a nice fire on the rocks at low tide. It was quiet and peaceful - with a red squirrel joining us on the porch for breakfast, a bunny in the front gardens, and two deer on the property in the evening. We even watched a seal swim by while sitting by the fire. We also used their kayaks to paddle around the sound. Arax did not leave a single detail out of the planning and set up of the boathouse. Everything we needed was there. We did bring a hot plate and pot so we could cook dinner at the house - but that was all we brought. She had everything else we needed and even without a kitchen we were able to cook salmon, steak and corn on the grill and salt potatoes in the pot we brought. If our travels bring us to Mt. Desert again, we will surely stay in the Boathouse. Thank you for a great weekend!!!
