Herzlich willkommen! Whalley See ist eine perfekte Wahl für Ihren Urlaub. Dies ist ein small'ish See mit großen Fischen, große Schwimmen und eine beeindruckende Aussicht.

Das neue Haus am See verfügt über 3 Badezimmer und 4 möblierte Schlafzimmer, in denen 12 glückliche Hütten untergebracht werden können (für Gruppen von mehr als 6 Personen fallen zusätzliche Gebühren an).

Überprüfen Sie die Küche aus! Es ist Chefs Traumküche: Edelstahl-Geräte gehören Eisspenders, Vollgasherd, Geschirrspüler und Mikrowelle sowie eine Kaffeemaschine Ihren Tag zu starten (wird Platz für individuelle Einzel Service Kaffee / Tee Hülsen).

Zwei Kajaks und ein Kanu sind im Mietpreis enthalten.

Die Veranda bietet den ganzen Tag Schatten und das Achterdeck ist groß und ein großartiger Ort zum Abhängen oder Mahlzeiten zu essen. Es hat einen klaren Blick auf das Dock und eine tolle Aussicht auf den See. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle für großartige Abende am Feuer (bitte die Feuer Beschränkung Zeichen überprüfen, bevor ein Feuer). Bring dein eigenes Holz mit.

Am Ufer können Sie den Tag in der Sonne oder im Schatten verbringen. Die Ufergegend wurde gestaltet und es gibt einen komfortablen Bereich, um den Blick auf den See zu genießen und junge Schwimmer zu beaufsichtigen. Die Pavillons bieten Schatten oder Schutz vor dem Regen ... ohne sich beeilen zu müssen, wenn es zu gießen beginnt. Die Hängematten sind der perfekte Ort, um ein Nickerchen zu machen oder etwas zu lesen.

Das Anwesen ist ziemlich eben (so dass es mobilitätsfreundlich ist - diejenigen, die einige Mobilitätsprobleme haben, können die Decktreppe umgehen, indem sie an der Seite des Hauses spazieren gehen und den Blick auf den See vom Rasenbereich genießen).

Die charmante Stadt Magnetawan ist eine kurze 5-minütige Fahrt entfernt und bietet einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen, eine kleine Bäckerei, einen Baumarkt, eine LCBO und einen Golfplatz. Wenn Sie auch hier an einem Samstagmorgen sind, Markt des Bauern ist einen Besuch wert. Es verfügt über lokale Unternehmen von Holzarbeiter an die Landwirte Musik zu leben. Es gibt auch einen Köder und Angel-Shop noch näher zu Hause .... nur gegenüber Whalley See. Für Abenteuerlustige (kinderfreundlich): Ziehen Sie das Kajak unter die Brücke Hwy 124 und ziehen Sie die Kajaks hinter dem Bait & Tackle hoch. Sie verkaufen mehr als nur Köder und Gas ... lecker Kawartha Eis und andere Leckereien.

Wir sind 2 1/2 Stunden von Toronto, 40 Minuten von Parry Sound und 20 Minuten von Sundridge. Es lohnt sich die Reise nach einer Woche der Entspannung und Spaß.

Einige Tipps für einen schönen Urlaub:

1. Wir sind auf dem Brunnenwasser hier - keine Notwendigkeit, Wasser in Flaschen zu bringen, es sei denn es ist Ihre Präferenz.

2. Wir sind auf einem septischen System, bitte spülen Sie keine Gegenstände mehr als Toilettenpapier. * Spülen Sie KEINE Hygieneprodukte für Frauen in die Toilette.

Wonderful getaway

We had an amazing week away at Fox Run cottage. The cottage is gorgeous and the location is wonderful. Tons to do with kayaks, canoes, floating pad and a beautiful waterfront area for swimming and relaxing. Cottage has everything you need and more. We loved every minute of our time here.

Fabulous stay!!

A much needed break from Covid. Stayed with our adult children and their spouses and children. Lots of room and bathrooms for all! The house is a dream. Everything that you could possibly need or want. Very efficient appliances, wonderfully clean home. The location is excellent on the lake, with fabulous views!

Fox Run

This cottage was amazing and suited our needs perfectly with plenty of space for the 4 adults and 4 teenagers for n our group. A lot of time was spent on the outside deck by the lake and we made good use of the kayaks and equipment available. The fishing off the dock was amazing with my youngest son catching multiple fish every day.

Lovely cottage

If you're looking for a cottage in the Magnetawan area I doubt you'll find anything better. Very spacious, nicely designed, well equipped, extremely clean, modern and comfortable. Large deck, good bbq, screened outdoor eating area. On an expansive part of the lake with nice dock and good swimming . Highly recommended.

Perfect for a weekend getaway with the girls!

Amazing cottage and property with everything you need for a getaway! Immaculately clean, beautifully thought out living spaces - pictures are exactly what you will find upon arrival. Guest storage space was plentiful and many towels, etc. available for use. Multiple sitting areas for sun or shade, and easy entry to the water. Perfect lake for SUP’ing - we brought our own boards, but cottage has kayaks, a canoe, and many water toys for a fun-filled day on the water. We hope to return soon! Melissa R.

Wonderful Whaley!

Thank you to Doris and Paul, for providing a seamless rental experience. The lake house is spectacular and provides all the comforts of home. The vista to the lake is simply beautiful! The swimming is good, and the water is of good quality and very easy to access. We looked forward to this for months and are left with special family memories. The hardest part was having to say goodbye. We surely hope to return for another fantastic holiday experience.

Beautiful cottage

Doris's cottage is huge, beautiful and pristine. So many different areas to chill out -- the huge deck, a screened-in area on the deck, the massive front lawn and fire pit, and a dockside deck. The kitchen is better-equipped than my own. The lake is clean and filled with bass, and one day we saw an otter family swim by. It is busy with jet skis on the weekend, but during the week we barely saw another soul. There are kayaks and a canoe for you to explore the lake. And the cottage is close to Magnetewan for picking up supplies. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous place!

Beautiful property and lakehouse! The cottage is very spacious with a great lay-out design for a larger group. Our family of 7 had lots of room and all agreed it was a great place to spend a relaxing time together....fishing, water sports, campfires, and bbq's. It has a large beautiful kitchen with everything a cook will need. The only possible complaint would be the size of the lake. It felt a little small for water sports and the size of boat we have. It's a beautiful lake and was mostly quiet the week we were there. Nice and private. Thank you Doris and Paul for providing such a refreshing retreat!

Fun Fox Run retreat

Doris’ property is sitting on a quite and beautiful lakefront location. Her home is fully equipped for a long or short stay. Spacious enough for a large family as well with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Pictures don’t do justice, you have to see it for yourself!! My small family and I enjoyed a nice weekend stay and the weather allowed us to sunbathe on the dock. Myself and my cousin had to work during our stay, wifi is efficient for those not required on a private network. I myself work for a large financial organization where I do require hi-speed secured internet, so I did have to connect directly to the Ethernet. Would recommend Doris’ home to anyone and we’ll be sure to return for future stays!

Amazing stay

This is one of the nicest and cleanest cottages that we have ever stayed at. So spacious, it was more than enough room for 8 adults. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Having 3 full bathrooms was extremely convenient, and the showers had great water pressure. We loved the direct access to the lake, and the dock was wonderful for fishing. With no weeds in the lake, it was perfect for swimming. It was nice being able to use the canoes and kayaks, especially with the equipment all being in great condition. The flat grassy lawn was ideal for our dogs to run around. The fire pit was clean and there was plenty of outside seating. The covered gazebo was perfect for relaxing outdoors while avoiding the rain and mosquitos. With so many puzzles and games available, we had a lot of fun during those rainy nights indoors. Highly recommend!

They have thought of everything!!

This was our 5th summer renting a cottage in this region and this was our favorite home!! The house is even better than the pictures (and the pictures are awesome!). The kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you could need. The living room has movies and games and books. We were a bit worried about the weather as it looked as if it would rain all week so we had each kid choose a movie when we arrived. It turned out to be a glorious week of weather with only a few cloudy periods. The house is clean, spacious, and the decorating is lovely. There were even 3 pairs of reading glasses hanging from a bedside table for anyone to use. The bedrooms have comfy beds, ceiling fans, and extension cords everywhere so you don’t have to figure out where you will plug in electronics! They supply the sheets and bath towels and you are responsible for only lake towels. This is so helpful when you’re traveling 12 hours. The backyard and lake are just perfection. With two giant umbrellas on the upper and lower deck + an abundance of Muskoka chairs + their kayaks and canoe + wonderful dock make for a memorable vacation. The water is warm and quite a few of us swam more than once to the island straight across (with a kayaker in tow). The Magnetawan bait and tackle shop was quaint and we visited daily for odds and ends. We did stop in Bracebridge at Gannon’s to do our huge shopping before we arrived. I can’t say enough about this place. We all loved this cottage and had a incredible time.

Just what we needed.....

We had a wonderful relaxing week at Doris' cottage. Great location on the lake, with plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy the view. The cottage itself was very clean and extremely comfortable, nicely decorated and with modern appliances. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. Thank you Doris for sharing your wonderful cottage.

Great weekend away

We had a great experience renting this property. It was very clean and no issues checking in. It has stunning views and great amenities. Lots of stuff to do. We had a great time with our small group of 6 and everyone enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to possibly renting again in the future.

Our extended family has made amazing memories renting cottages for 50++ years on the same lake in the Kawarthas. We still share stories about catching frogs in the swamp; the year the power failed and we BBQd all week and played games by lantern; the fish that got away; teaching the water-shy dogs how to swim; the hikes to the waterfall.

Now that we three sisters have grown up, married and have children and grandchildren of our own, those cottage memories continue to connect us. Precious memories. Dad's gone now and many of our most precious memories are of him with his 11 grandchildren at the lake.

It was always a dream to have a cottage of our own. A place where we could hang out for more than just two weeks each year and enjoy ALL of the seasons: swimming and fishing in the summer, hiking and ATVing in the fall, snowmobiling in the winter and running from bugs in the spring.

... and here we are! Finally! After years of dreaming. We are now making new memories with our family and friends. We're pleased to share it with you: Fox Run on Whalley Lake.

We were attracted to the level property, a small lake that warms up quickly for amazing swimming, good fishing, great neighbours and solitude. We built the house with friends who owned the land for many years and built the cottage next door where they made memories with their own children. Together, we poured love into every wall and every design feature.
