Wir sind nur 15 Meilen südlich von sonnigen Kailua-Kona auf Big Island von Hawaii und nur wenige Minuten von einem der weltweit besten Schnorchel- und Tauchplätze der Küste, Pu'uhonua o Honaunau, der Ort von Schutz. Unser Hof ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Kona Coast sowie Volcanoes National Park zu erkunden. Wir wachsen 100% Kona Kaffee auf unserem Bauernhof. Wir haben mehrere Obstgärten in Reihen an der Bergseite sowie mehrere Pflanzungen im Schatten der hohen Macadamia-Nuss-Bäumen organisiert. Unser Hof liegt mit fast 200 Macadamia-Nuss-Bäume, die uns eine reiche Ernte liefern ausgekleidet. Neben dem Kaffee und Nüssen, haben wir viele Sorten von Obstbäumen.

Wir haben Golden Globe Mangos, Hayden Mangos, Papayas, Ananas, Guave, Passionsfrucht, Litschi, Cherimoya, soursop, Kalk, Bitterorange, Granatapfel, Avocado, Bananen, Feigen, Kokosnüsse, monstera, Rose Äpfel, Pudding Äpfel und Noni. Wir wachsen auch Kakao und Kukuinuss. Unser Hof verfügt über einzigartige Lavagestein heraus Saatbestellungen sowie schöne Sorten von Palmen und Blumen.

Jeder Gast wird zu einer Besichtigung der Farm behandelt. Wir werden Ihnen zeigen, wie wir verarbeiten, den Kaffee und Pflege für die Bäume. Wenn Sie ankommen, werden Sie ein Bouquet von frisch gepflückten Blumen sowie eine Zusammenstellung der in der Saison Obst von unserem Hof.

Das Tree Top Apartment ist eine private Wohnung im zweiten Stock mit Blick aufs Meer und die Berge. Die Wohnung ist komplett getrennt und private von der Wohnung des Besitzers. Die Kathedrale Decken, Oberlicht, Glasfenster und Glasschiebetür zur Terrasse laden in der Sonne und im Freien in die Wohnung. Auf rund 750 Quadratmetern bietet Platz für die Wohnung vier Personen. Unser Hof liegt auf einem komfortablen 1.000 Fuß Höhe, so Klimaanlage ist nicht erforderlich. Wir sind mit warmen, sonnigen Tagen und Abenden ideal für Schlaf gesegnet.

Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und ein zweites Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten. Die beiden Schlafzimmer und die Küche verfügen über Deckenventilatoren. Das Wohnzimmer hat einen Fernseher, DVD-Player, Videorecorder und CD-Player. Die Küche verfügt über alles, was Sie zur Zubereitung von Speisen, während Sie im Paradies finden. Wir haben High-Speed Wireless Internet-Zugang gewidmet. Sie haben gute Parkmöglichkeiten neben Ihrem eigenen Eingang. Wir haben auch Boogie Boards, Sonnenschirme und Liegestühle für Sie zu leihen.

Love it!

Todd is very responsive and informative. Apartment is as pictured, clean and has everything u will need. Beds are soft. Pillows are great. Beautiful sunsets! Very much away from the crowds I loved listening to the frogs at night but my mom said they were too loud lol. Only downfall for me was no tv in berooms. Really enjoyed my time and would highly recommend!

Second time around should say all!

Peaceful Hawaiian countryside - what a lovely week. We’ve had some downtime on the coast and some hikes in the forest. Just perfect. It is lovely to have met Kim, you are a lucky man and we were lucky to get here and have the place to ourselves and it was super super immaculate! Also, it is nice see what a great dog jazz has grown up to be. She was barely more than a teacup when we were here last year, It was a special treat to see Daisy, she’s just Daisy. Mahalo & Aloha

Perfect for family stay

We loved our stay at the farm. Todd is sooo nice, he gave us tour of the farm, there are many fruits and flowers, chicken, duck, dogs. We had fresh papaya, orange, avocado, sour orange to eat with magical berry ( which tastes like ice cream ). Kids loved the farm tour and said it’s their top 3 activities. It’s a unique experience for us.

Nice property off the beaten path

First, we enjoyed our stay and Todd is a lovely friendly guy. The sunset photos from the lanai were spectacular, though its only a small section of the view. The birds were lovely, and we were charmed by all the night noises. Generally, though, the place could use some love. It was clean enough - the bathroom wasn't moldy or gross andit was vaccumed, for example - but the corners and baseboards were very dirty. Nothing dramatic, but just not as clean as we'd hoped.

Cozy stay

Todd's place is a great apartment with ocean views. The apartment is cozy, has most things a person would need and the beds were comfy!! The driveway is passable, even in the rental we had, just go slow like Todd mentions in the listing. There were delicious fresh avocado on the farm, which we really enjoyed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Wonderful unique location

We really enjoyed staying at Killino Farms. We got in a bit later than intended on the first night and Todd was great about responding to our communication and getting us settled. The driveway can be a bit difficult to find and it is long and bumpy. Be sure to read Todd's instructions on getting there. They were very helpful for navigation and warning us about watching for water pipes and dogs in the driveway. Our first morning there, Todd gave us a great tour! Part of the tour was explaining how a coffee farm works. He also showed us which trees we could harvest for in season fruits and nuts from. For our December trip, we had the best little oranges and macadamia nuts for breakfast! To top it all off, he shared some of his farm grown and roasted coffee! This little apartment is a tad rustic but homey and had everything we needed. We didn't use the kitchen but it was spacious and fully stocked. We loved being off the beaten path and away from the typical tourist hustle and bustle. We were serenaded by frogs at night and birds in the day. There were some restaurants and shops nearby to meet all of our needs. Plus, it is super close to some of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. In summary, we highly recommend this VRBO!

Two steps from excellent snorkelling

Far from the other tourists but close to a great snorkelling beach. Car needed. Our host shared many interesting observations on the local flora and fauna. Great stay!

The property was more rustic and a little worn down then we expected. Host was nice and left us to our days. Driveway could be a problem if you are being very careful with your rental car. One of the best places we’ve stayed on the BI

I’m a bird/ nature photographer. Nowhere else on the island have I seen the variety of birds in one place that we saw every morning from the deck. Todd was a great host and we can’t say enough about Daisy. If you like a rural setting away from the hustle of Kona you can’t beat the farm!

Amazing property away from everything that is touristy. Country living on a working farm with fresh fruit, chickens, flowers, quietness, relaxation. Nature abounds. Clean. Convenient to Volcanos NP and the Kona airport. Full kitchen, bbq, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Todd was friendly and helpful and returns your calls and texts. Beaches are within driving distance. Near grocery store and great coffee shops. Away from the tourists and loved it!

Beautiful Farm

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful. They apartment was a great size for our family of 4. The kids loved having their own space. The lanai was great for breakfast and coffee in the morning. Close to the place of refuge and two step for great snorkeling. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Peaceful oasis, perfect for the non-touristy Kona experience. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The location: This was the perfect location for us because it was close to amazing snorkeling spots, close to Napoopoo Rd (lots of fruit stands), and far enough away from the touristy parts of Kailua-Kona that we didn't feel stuck in the hustle and bustle. Driveway is a little rough and bumpy, but take it slow and it's totally doable without 4wd. The farm is a short walk from Menehune Cafe which was our favorite spot to grab iced coffee and yummy lilikoi muffins! I recommend the onion rings, best I've ever had! The property itself: Very clean, comfortable, with a few extra beach accessories that made for a great stay. It was very easy to settle in and feel right at home. The kitchen was dated, but was clean, functional, very well stocked, and met our needs. Todd was an attentive and friendly host, quick to respond to requests and answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our tour around the property and trying the miracle berries! His dog, Daisy, is a sweetheart and was our favorite part of coming home every evening. The beds were comfortable (all of them have foam toppers), linens felt very clean/new, at least one fan in each space (never got stuffy or too hot), ample towels, the water got scalding hot, and we fell asleep every night to the sounds of birds, coquí frogs, and gecko chirps. There were a few geckos in the apartment, but they stay to themselves and never really bothered us. The screen door was off its tracks and was a bit of a struggle to open and close, that was the only thing that needed fixing. The apartment felt very private, even with downstairs short-term tenants. They were very quiet and we only saw them once or twice. We would have stayed much longer if we could have. This will definitely be the first place we check when we are ready to come back to Kona. :) Thank you Todd, for hosting us!

Todd was the most accommodating person from communications to a full farm tour upon arrival. He was great with our young kids. We had everything we needed for our VRBO stay. The driveway was rough, but driveable like other reviews state. The property was not fully as expected. We believe with some additional maintenace and apt. cleaning it would be more pleasant. Beds, Linens and towels were great. Thanks for a good short trip to the Captain Cook area!

Originally from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, we moved to the Big Island to live our dream of owning a coffee farm and vacation rental. We first visited Hawaii while on our honeymoon. Like most people, we fell in love with the islands and dreamed of living in paradise. For two of our visits to the Big Island, we stayed at the farm. It was our ideal home in Hawaii. We could farm coffee and macadamia nuts and run a vacation rental. When we came to the Big Island to find a place to live, we booked a rental on the farm that would become our home. We hoped to find a house to rent, but would have been happy with a condo that had a lanai for us to spend time outside. We were so excited when the owner told us he was looking to sell the farm. We knew then that is was meant to be.
