Welcome to paradise. A modern style and freshly renovated Waterfront House in Fanning Springs, Florida. This cozy getaway is located on a private canal seconds off The Suwannee River. Bring your boat and cruise to the nearby springs or venture to the Gulf for the big catch.
The balcony of the home sits just feet off the water. With its own private concrete boat ramp, dock, pedal boats and kayaks. Enjoy your evenings around the firepit with friends. Everything you need for a fun, relaxing or romantic waterfront getaway.

The home and property were amazing. My husband, mother and myself traveled from Arizona to visit kids and grandchildren. This place gave us an amazing place to gather and kept everyone entertained. Kayaking, fishing, bonfire, yard games. Loved loved loved it. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Long term winter stay

Our goal is warm winter weather which Florida offers. That goal was accomplished with our 1st visit to Old Town. Area great for: fishermen, boaters ( across street from Joe Anderson Park hosting angling tournaments). Nature Coast Trail for bicycling and walking. Plenty of motorcycles and restaurants. RV park across canal. There were early issues with property conditions which the host responded to but shouldn’t have been necessary.

Wonderful house, everything was great!

We really enjoyed the house. It was one of the cosiest vrbos we have rented and very nicely done. We had a slight delay getting in but Vrbo helped us out as they always do and it did not hamper us at all. We would definitely rent this house again. Thank you!

Labor Day vacation

My family rented other houses but this house was definitely the hang out spot with the boat ramp across the street and the large dock we were able to dock 3 boats and there was a giant tree swing for the kids and a nice fire pit for s’mores and hanging out at night. The house was newly updated and gorgeous! There was plenty of room in the house for family to come in and make a plate of food! I really loved the rocking chairs and deck to watch the sun rise over the water. We will definitely be back!!

Great Vacation Escape!

Laura’s property was perfect for what we were looking for in our vacation. We love to explore new places in our boat and this property was a perfect base for our boating adventures. With it’s own boat ramp and beautiful, huge dock on a canal away from boat wakes was a real bonus. We cruised to the Gulf of Mexico (28.3 miles) and cruised up river to the many crystal clear springs and also went up the Santa Fe River and then up the crystal clear Ichetucknee River. Laura’s home was well maintained and furnished well with a very comfortable bed. A huge bonus was the dumb waiter to get luggage to the elevated home. Laura is a perfect host and now, my friend.

Best time ever!

Upon driving up, I just saw a peaceful. We were there for the wedding of my granddaughter, and a reunion of my brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and family. It was a beautiful time we were busy getting ready for the wedding and coming back to this beautiful place was heaven sent our little time together will be remembered forever.

Montana weather in Florida

Suspect others would like to not review these type of properties as they are like our own "honey holes". What an amazing place with everything as described. We had no idea when we booked it would be -45 degrees at home so we dodged the proverbial bullet. However, 20 degrees in Fanning Springs is really cold but this place had it all to keep us cozy and entertained. We will be back and thank you for the hospitality.

Great place to stay near the springs

We had a great time staying here. The kayaks and pedal boats were a nice bonus as well as the private boat ramp right on property. We also loved all the nice little touches Like the complimentary bottle of wine, bottled waters, toiletries, games and even poo-pouri spray in the bathroom!

Suwannee River Delight!

My wife and I had friends visiting from Las Vegas so we decided to show them what Old Town had to offer. We were pleasantly surprised how beautiful this location was. We enjoyed the kayaks on the river and sitting around the fire at night. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked most of our meals there. We went to Cedar Key; caught Speckled Trout while fishing and over 200 large shrimp with cast nets. What a great experience. We got to see several Manatees and one actually swimming with her baby. The next day we went to Steinhatchee on our first scallop adventure ever and managed to have a great time ans harvest our limit. The location of "Low Tides" is fantastic as we were able to visit several Florida State Parks in the area. Laura is a great host and was very responsive to our needs. We highly recommend "Low Tides" as a home base for a wonderful vacation and are already looking forward to staying here again... Thank you Laura.

Graduation get away

Host was willing to accommodate us for just a couple of nights. Wish we had time to stay longer. House was charming, right on the water. Everything as pictured but better, everything promised. Swanee Bell was a great place to eat and close enough to boat or walk. Loved, loved it. Will be back for sure

Our Girls Family Trip

Slow Tides was way more than expected…beautiful property in Old Town, Florida. The home itself was decorated with so many personal touches throughout it truly felt as if I had walked in my home…the amenities Laura provides make relaxing so easy, from sitting on the porch watching the mullet jump from the water to lazily napping in the oversized swing under the shade of a beautiful oak draped with Spanish moss. The grounds themselves are arge enough they allowed for local family to visit us girls from Mississippi and enjoying cookouts and visiting with around a huge fire pit at night. The convenience of having one of the best local seafood restaurants within walking distance allowed us all a day off from the kitchen….i definitely give this property a HUGE thumbs up, gold star and hope to be staying again in the future!
